Problem with my submission.

Hello everyone,
Hope everyone is having a good day!
So I have a weird issue. My story is supposed to be published on 30th August. So I uploaded next chapter as well thinking it will be published on a later day. But that chapter got published first and previous one is stuck on pending folder but it is showing the new tag usually associated with newly published stories.
I have no idea what happened. Can anyone please help me?

Chapter 8 - Shattered and Drowning (Stuck in pending- supposed to be published on 30th Aug.)
Chapter 9- Cracked Foundations (Published even though it was submitted on later day.)

All you can really do is PM both Manu and Laurel. I say both because Manu is technical (and this might be a technical issue), and Laurel is the one who approves stories (so she might have done something there that we authors don't know about).

No, PM is best. Those old links go into a black hole.

@MelissaJewels you'll need to create a Manual Series. Usually, the site runs an automatic compilation of chaptered stories, but with your title structure, it won't work.

This works:

Story Title
Story Title Ch.02
Story Title Ch.03

You don't need to number the first chapter, the system will pick up the second chapter. You have to use 02, 03 etc, or it stuffs up when you get to Ch.10 - it's an alphanumeric sort sequence.

This also works:

Story Title - Annie
Story Title - Billie
Story Title - Charlie

I was not aware of that structure actually. SO are you suggesting I make a new series and then add them to that and delete current one?

With the Manual Series function you add an overarching title, then manually add each chapter in the correct reading order.

If you do it as per my suggestion, the site does it automatically.

My recommendation would be to wait 48 hours to see if anything happens from your query, and if nothing does, build a new Manual Series. It might take a couple of goes to figure out how it works - but you won't accidentally lose your already published stories. You should be able to use your existing title - just undo the existing series and start again.
