Why only five? Because for some people, five will be a lot of work. I'm going to pick one person every night and say five nice things about them. They might not be really fucking nice, but they will probably be true.

If you don't get mentioned right off, it means you are tedious or feckless, or possibly your name is toward the end of the alphabet.

Feel free to join in, but let's not get all touchy-feely and name the whole damn board in the first night. Try and do one person a night, if you can muster that much self-control.

I'll go first.

ANGEL

1. She has great tits. (What! you expected me NOT to say it?)

2. She is very honest, and has a way of doing it without pissing people off too badly.

3. She is tough. I like tough in a girl.

4. She is very cool, and has a great sense of humor.

5. She is loyal. I like that.

Alright, who helped him count to five?

So very sorry, I couldn't resist. *grin*

Carry on...

I decided to pick someone I don't know, so I'm not just recapitulating stuff I've already told those with whom I'm friendly.
That, or PC just reminded me of her:

KillerMuffin

1. She doesn't apologize for herself; she has strong opinions and stands by them.

2. She writes deeply emotional, often very impressive, stories.

3. She doesn't feel the need to kiss ass or whimper in order to be heard or liked.

4. She's direct and doesn't play "guess who I'm talking about" games and other such b.s.

5. She can take it as well as she dishes it out.

I didn't.

It was lacking humor.

That's my job. Add humor to the board.

It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it.;)

*cracking my knuckles*

Back to work...

Cheer up. Risia doesn't seem to feel that moving along in an orderly, alphabetical manner is of any importance, Chef. You might be next on her list.

Mine:

LukkyKnight
(He's a relative newbie, yes yes i know, but is there a rule about that?)

1. He seems to be as good-hearted a person as we've had here in a long time.

2. He adds a dash of well-reasoned, simply-stated philosophy to many of his posts; i *like* that.

3. He's obviously highly intelligent.

4. He has really interesting av's.

5. I haven't yet seen him use sarcasm as a weapon. While i don't mind people doing it, and even giggle wildly when they do (sometimes, anyway), i like to know in advance who's probably gonna be doing it, you know?

Problem Child

1. He's wickedly funny and I can count on him to almost always make me laugh.

2. He's fair. I've never seen him really give it to someone who didn't deserve it.

3. He doesn't chase every skirt that walks into lit, which gives him a sort of unattainable air about him.

4. He is obviously quite intelligent and well-read and not afraid to voice his opinions.

5. He's fucking sexy as hell.

;)

Okay, thanks for totally catching me off guard, PC.

Heh. I would -do- you, PC... but you did me and you've been done. (LOL) So I will do Lavender.

Lavy

1) She's compassionate. Not many people would go out on a limb for someone they met over the net - even someone they were really close to the way she has. I really respect that alot.

2) She's a gutsy bitch. I like gutsy bitches. Simpering, whiny, girly girly, brainless, go with what is popular girls piss me off.

3) She likes porn. Chicks who dig porn rock. Chicks who admit that they do are even better.

4) She's her own person, and sticks to her beliefs. She doesn't apologise for them either.

5) She also isn't afraid to admit when she's wrong, or when something changes her views. She's not too proud to apologise either.

Dillinger

1. His posts almost always have some interesting twists
2. He writes great stories about women who love HUGE cocks
3. He admits that he likes watching "Survivor" and (at least last year) had some incredible theories on who was going to be voted off next.
4. He took a lot of his time and effort to organize the Vegas meeting event that ended up being postponed.
5. He has a great... um, smile. :)

good thread, PC!

*bratcat*

1. She writes great stories.

2. She's prettier than her av's.

3. She's warm and loving.

4. She's highly intelligent.

5. She's sexier than hell!

:) :) :)

Svedish_Chef:
1. He's not afraid to call them like he sees them.
2. He refuses to conform to what people think he should be like.
3. He's got a dry sense of humor that is smart, and smart assed.
4. The David Bowie Av
5. He's not afraid to admit that he likes something that might go against popular taste.

My one person for today:

Saturn Return
(Another putative newbie; I’m on a roll!)

1. She’s sophisticated and intelligent without being snotty about it.

2. She’s extremely net-savvy, and specifically knowledgeable about whys and wherefores of net communities.

3. I believe that she actually *did* lurk here for a long time before posting, as she claims.

4. She gives good-quality, levelheaded, and kindly phrased advice.

5. She’s honestly open-minded in a place where that’s often not as prevalent a personal characteristic as one might expect.

I love this thread, PC.
What in the name of all that's out of character promoted it?

PC

1) He doesn't need the jokes explained. Ever.

2) His posts are frequently funnier than mine, the rat bastard.

3) He uses Dr. Strangleove as his AV.

4) When he's right, he says so. When he's wrong, he says so.

5) He's got mature priorities, perspective, and perception, which puts him one up on p p man.

1. She's honest about her feelings and secure enough to share them.

2. She has an excellent command of the English language. I love her writing style - clear and concise.

3. She's open and welcoming to newbies.

4. She's always ready to share her knowledge and experience with those who ask for it, and, she takes her time to answer their questions thoroughly without ever being condescending.

5. She's posted pictures of her beautiful body piercings.

  • His creativity and spontaneity far surpass everyone else's.
  • He is open and welcome to all, and showers attention on others when they need it. I've seen him cheer people up with a single post.
  • He can be serious, sensitive, or silly, whatever the occasion warrants.
  • He has a great command of the quirky, irreverent, and bizarre. I still ask people about roving eyebrows and paprika trails.
  • Gotta love that av.

Angel

1. She stood up for me
2. She has nice thighs
3. She's tells it like she sees it
4. She's funny
5. She's a NY'er

FlamingoBlue

  • His way of starting a conversation
  • His ability to adapt (remember the "girl" thread?)
  • The way he sees things in a different light
  • The occasional email that always showed up at exactly the right moment :)
  • His awesome marinated mushroom and vodka recipe

STP

I don't know him well but from what I have seen,

1) He is a very funny guy (that's humorous funny)

2) He goes out of his way not to hurt anyone's feelings

3) He speaks his mind carefully and thoughtfully

4) He is very good at sticking up for people when they are being
trashed

5) From what I can see the ladies seem to like him

Really like this thread PC, good job

Today's nominee:

Marxist

1. He's not afraid to play the heavy in order to start or continue an interesting conversation.

2. He doesn't apologize for having controversial opinions or disagreeing with others.

3. He's willing and able to engage in sustained debate and meets fellow posters on their own terrain--he adapts to the tone to which he's responding.

4. He doesn't post navel-gazing blathering posts (i.e. "Today I went to the gas station. Celebrate me!")

5. He shows respect for those who earn it from him. None of the "you're old school, you must know something" or "you're a newbie, piss off" idiocy.
