Probably been asked a million times. How to change screen name

I did it before, but I don't remember the process. I PMed Manu, but he never got back to me.

it's been & the short answer: you can't.

if you have particularly urgent reason to believe an exception can be made you can always PM laurel or manu, but i wouldn't hold your breath as i'm sure they get tons of requests/month, and quite often for fairly trivial reasons.

however, since you've already PMed with no reply, i'm thinking you already got your answer.

Not true. Have you not interacted with busybody? He's been:

Busybody
Anquan Jihad
Turner leaf
IWFTHAG
Pablo Plunder and is now
Bunny Slippers


And I've seen many other posters on the GB who've changed their names.

I gather that you need to send a PM to Laurel requesting for the name change and if you asked really nicely and the new name is available you can get the change.

i've seen the anquan jihad username a few times, but i don't hang out in the GB.

are you sure those aren't simply alts? it's not like creating a new email address & keeping a list of usernames/passwords is exactly hard to do. i have a hard time believing that laurel would bother unless there was a pressing need to do so, considering how many of us there are.

Changing your name is different from creating alts. Your post count and everything remains the same, only your handle is changed.

Just go through his thread list. Start with the oldest page, you'll notice the different names he's used.

huh. i'm surprised laurel or manu grant such requests. i understand from a friend who also runs a vbulletin forum that it's irritating to do.
