Only in the US. In Britain, it means something totally different.

Every now and then as I'm writing I wonder about this, but then I realise I'm writing for an exclusive audience. One that knows the difference between a Cock and a chicken. You use the names you're used to, and if people don't like it they let you know.
On the other hand it also depends on what you're writing about. I wouldn't call them Mississippi Mud Flaps in an erotic couples story, but I might in a humor story. In the same vein you might call it a BackDoor Bangelore in a story about anal, but not in a vanilla story.
