In 1997, Britain's Princess Diana died of injuries a few
hours after a car accident in Paris that killed her
companion, Dodi Fayed, and their driver. A bodyguard
survived, although he was seriously injured.

People magazine did an expose on her this week. Pictures of never released photos.

She was very beautiful. She emanated a radiance only seen in very few people.

They say her aorta had been torn open from the impact of the crash. That was her only critical injury. The terrific force of inertia had caused the blood inside to tear open the front arterial wall. That's not uncommon in a very hard impact crash such as she experienced. Initially, she seemed fine to everyone, just lethargic. But, on the way to the hospital, her heart stopped.

Something I thought was unspeakable, but I heard it is not uncommon in France...the ambulance actually pulled off to the side of the road and got her heart started again, before continuing on to the hospital.

The loss of blood and trauma to her aorta were what eventually caused her death. Neither has to be fatal, if caught soon enough.

Britain had a great lady in Di. Charles didn't deserve her.
