ok, here comes me with another silly question :D

as soon as a man finds out i'm a sub he declairs himself to be a Dom...ok, some of them are genuine but surely most must be fake?

i'm sure this is pretty common to the subs {tell me, tell me, tell me!} but does it work the other way?

any Doms ever had a woman pretending to be a sub just to get close to you?

xx

I think it's pretty common on both ends of the scale, especially online where there are predators thinking that saying they are one or the other will get them lots of kinky sex

i think putting yourself out there and telling someone that you're submissive is going to lead to opportunists looking to capitalize on your nature. i also think that discretion regarding your practices may help to alleviate the barrage of bull.

Finally, it is a hazard of online life if you visit chat rooms, forums, etc. where anonymity allows even the most inept to masquerade as "Masters." Don't sweat it. Here is a thread begun by Pure that absolutely nails what to look for and how to protect yourself.

ty hon, but it's not really a problem, just confuses and amuses me :)

i don't cyber or do chat rooms but if people approach me in a friendly way here on lit i'll talk to them. i find it intriguing that some people will go so far to impress...pretending to be something that they aren't.

i guess the prospect of faking being bossy might be less scary than the prospect of faking being masochistic??? and doing as you're told without complaint is beyond an awful lot of people :) {people certainly looked at me like i was crazy for not slapping the ex when he was ordering me around, lol, and often said they could never just obey}

I've been approached by a million cyber Doms who suddenly become switches when they find out *my* preference.

Horny men are an amazing lot. :)

Well, I don't really volunteer that information. Most people I know through IMing either are from Lit, and already know, or are people that I don't want to know. Like family members or friends.

And quite frankly, that's one of the reasons I wouldn't tell them. Nothing like telling some guy that you're a sub to get them being all bossy and trying to dom you into cybering. Evidently, being a sub means that I'm going to be easy to bully. I just put those guys on ignore. *rolls eyes*

i'm polite to people until they run away crying :D
NOTHING more infuriating than a woman being polite to you when you're trying to get rude, hehehe, works every time!

They sure are. I've been approached by a few in my time as well.

I can't say I have been approached by anyone faking submission though. Well, except the time my lover wandered into a chat room I was in as a slave to a friend of ours. But that was okay, I managed to sell her off for a couple of camels and a goat.

As for me... "I'm a REAL Dom!" (in best Pinochio voice)

Yah, we have two heads but only enough blood to operate one at a time. :)

I'm not sure if I can tell the difference.

I suppose you were looking for more of an answer besides yes or no...eh?

Women who pretend to be submissive...its more about attention, lonliness, love and sex. They attempt to manipulate Doms in order to get what "they want". The key part of that sentence is what "they want". They will play along and do what ever as long as they get what "they want".

I could say more but I am too tired and need to go to bed.

Dolf, you're going to find a lot of wannabe's and what I call "the very curious" out there. There is a difference for someone who is genuinely curious and wants to investigate more as opposed to someone who is just trying to get into your lovely pants. Being bi, I've seen it from both angles. When a person wants you, they will most likely do what they can and whatever angle they can to get close to you. But if it is that, a person can definitely tell.

For example, let's say you hit it off with this person, and you get together, the evening goes well, and you both want to get jiggy with it (for lack of a better polite term) you'd be able to tell pretty right away if they've been faking it. In person you can tell immediately.

I have personally known women who will act all submissive-like to get a man and they always lament later saying, "OMG this guy wanted to tie me up..." or something similar. I just sigh and roll my eyes and say, "Well what did you expect?"

I think people should always be honest to themselves, who they are and in the process when meeting others say, "Hey this is me, like me or leave me."

Yeah, but that is right up there along the lines of women who are hot in bed and all over a guy until he marries her, and then the love and affection totally dry up on him :(

Problem? Solution!

It sure does help to scare away all the wannabees and pretenders if you present yourself as a well-rounded individual who is down to earth yet based in reality.

So speaks the voice of clarity... and the choir says AMEN to that!

I'd have to say it also helps weed out the wannabe pretenders if you are very up front that you will not "cyber" with them. ;)

lol, so true!

like i said, it's not a problem just an observation that amuses me...and these people are so easy to spot
