pregnancy and medications

A friend of mine just found out she is about 4 weeks pregnant. She's freaking out because she had drank alcohol a few times, and had taken about 2-3 Tylenol / codeine's for pain, in the last few week not knowing she was preggo.

I don't know how to answer this.. but she wants to know if the alcohol, or the medication, will have harmed the fetus??

Is anyone else up to date on this kind of stuff?

well they do allow you to take tylenol and theydid give my sister morphine while she was pregenant once when she went to the hospital.

i'd just tell her not to do it again.

The alcohol is going to do less damage than the worry she's giving herself. Tell her to relax - but no more booze.

yeah, i think the codeine is what worries her.. cuz otherwise doctors prescribe tylenol for aches and pains while pregnant.

I was on tylenol 3 for 2 weeks durring my pregnacy(for medical reasons). I had a very extremely healthy baby boy.
