Pre-Hijacked Thread

Could we hijack it not to be about who hates who, who is who else and so on?

Not much is up here. It's sunny but its not going to be for some days after today.

Oh, sure!

Bullet point: I don't hate anybody.

Bullet point: I am not anybody else.

That's easy on my part.

It's...33 degrees here and has been cold for a few days and I am TERRIFIED that my favorite Japanese maple is not going to survive the weird ass cold. The deer found my pansies and ate them.

Spring not going well. BUT! It ain't 6 feet of snow in 24 hours, so yay?

Nah, this isn't a blurt thread because I reserve the right to ask intrusive questions about anything and everything.

My curiosity and sense of internet manners prevent me from going into blurt threads because I find them...

Unsatisfying.

Occasionally painfully passive aggressive to where I'm embarrassed for people and need to avert my eyes.

I share your bullet points. :)

We have decided not to grow corn in our vegetable garden this year, it's just too tempting. The artichokes suffer badly too, but who can exist without artichokes? No snow, but the weather seems to have been so similar from Autumn through to now, a little cooler, wetter, sunnier, windier variations...but...it's felt hard to really embrace the seasons. We have had daffodils for months it seems.

I'm living in the house where I grew up. My parents used to have a vegetable garden here but now it's all ornamental. The yard has been pruned of all 'deer candy' because Lyme ticks are a real threat.

Fortunately they leave daffodils alone, which are everywhere. Forsythia is just blooming. Lilacs will be out soon. We have regular and dwarf varieties and I'll plant more given the chance.

Yard today:

Little baby Japanese maple with red and green branch tips on the left.

If I were Cade, would I admit it?

Probably? Not?

On the upside, I would be imaginary.

No. Cade could not be brought to admit that he was Cade. And he wasn't?

And he was the main reason I had to turn off signatures and never look back.

sound waves can leave shadows, too....

there's a poem in this stuff somewhere. lots of poems, probably.

Hey butters!

I have never heard of that...that's awesome.

Ooh, my guess is that the surface tension of the bubble on an atomic level aligns enough so that the release of tension is always outward, creating a more coherent light source and reflective capacity!

Oooooo.

Yeah, this is where I'm thinking reflective surfaces that are being shattered at force create concentrated areas of rapidly dispersing reactivity.

Conservation of mass doesn't really allow for spontaneous light creation, but reflection and shadow, sure.

It's lovely :).

I love the idea of many, many lilacs, we inherited many white lilac from previous owner ( one of few things here) and planted a couple more, but I would have shades of rose and lilac -lilac too. The smell when it flowers is fresh and deep both, and I really love lilac foliage.

I hope to move some of our leggy inherited ones, ( they will be lost to development but I love them and don't want to lose the height) But I'm not sure they will make it. It's always worth the try I think. :)

Yes, bunches of lilacs. I missed lilacs and spring violets in the grass most. We have white and...lilac...lilacs, and white and violet...violets. Also a rogue band of volunteer johnny jump ups that have propagated through the yard.

I also love the dogwoods.
