Prayers for Sir Winston

Oh, see, when I interpreted in a cardiac ward several times, each time, they gave people stuffed hearts. Not like love hearts, like body hearts. It was kinda creepy.

Been there (not me, but my husband,) I love those hearts! (not at all creepy to me, a huge help to the beneficiary, though)

And Sir W (although we've never met,) I do really wish you a speedy return to your old self. And, yes, take the damn meds, please?!!

~smiles softly, tears welling up~

Welcome Home, Sir.

You have been greatly missed and we have all been worrying because we care about You.

~kisses cheek gently~:kiss::heart:
And dont forget to take Your medicines
:rose:

I'm home! The blockages were there, but in smaller vessels - too small to stent or balloon, and not enough of 'em (thank the gods/desses!) to require bypass, so again, they're changing some meds and increasing some others, and for some reason, they actually want me to take them on a regular basis this time around

I'm surprised and touched by all the kind wishes and the candles - that's very neat, and very much appreciated! :rose:s to all of you - knowing that you care and are/were concerned was a definite plus factor in getting me out of the hospital.

Welcome back!!! I struggle to remember to take my meds, too. Have you tried buying an alarm clock that's just for med taking. Set it to go off when you need to take your meds. Then reset it after you've taken your meds. Also, keep your meds next to the alarm clock.

Also, K's triglicerides were literally in the 1000's, and then he started taking red rice yeast and now it's in the 'slightly high' slot.

Welcome back

Welcome back Sir Winston im really happy that your feeling better.

i hate hospitals to but then i spend 4 nights a week in onefor the last 12 years, a handy hint to help with taking your meds in the long run is to always take them before you shower. helps me remember to take my handfull each day.

:rose: and  to keep you safe and healthy

Welcome back Sir W :rose:

Sir has to take warfarin at a regular time every day so I have set my mobile phone to alarm at that time (go to the calendar settings on your phone).

Awfully late, but still, sending positive thoughts to Sir W.
Glad to see you're back.

Bloody glad to see you back with your lovely blue text and of course, gracing us once again with your words! :D

Hey, please do take your meds, please? Don't scare us again! Or I will get EG on you, and I am sure you won't want it! ;)

Oh....and welcome back! :rose:

Hey, blue text! WooT! Good to see you, SirW!

You realise that you are now going to have half the women on this board pestering you about taking your meds, right?

Welcome Back Sir Winston..Glad that you are home..Please take your meds so you can feel better!

I've had two friends that had heart attacks. One died and one has surivived quite well. Sadly, the one who died had no idea there was even a problem. Even worse...neither did his doctor.

Strangely enough, both wives were RNs. One knew what to do when the symptoms showed up, and the other was in the dark, just like his doctor.

The friend who survived is doing quite well, these days. He did take his meds like he should and watched what he ate, as he was told to. Today, he is off of his meds and feeling fine. This is several years past, now. Small lifestyle changes and he literally feels like a new person.

Of course, your situation isn't exactly the same. Everybody is unique. But, you should take your meds. He was the same way, at first, but soon got into the swing of things and it all worked out. Like I said, it's been several years, now and he's doing quite well. It just takes time.

Glad that you're home. I'll bet you feel better at home, too. Personally, I hate hospitals. Unless the nurses are hot!

Winston, dude, do NOT make me come up there and kick yer ass. Take yer effing meds! Trust me on this, you do NOT want to have yer chest cracked open and yer ticker cut and sewed! Been there, done that, got the effing $10,000 teddy bear...

Worse yet, you do NOT want to find yerself at the pearly gates going "But... but... I was just caning this really, REALLY fine behind!"

Oh! Welcome home. Don't scare us like that, again, okay?

See what you started, Homburg??? And not just the wimmen, either! LOL!

I have one of those 7-day pill containers that is now filled for the coming week with the appropriate meds, and it's right in front of my keyboard where I can't help but see it several times a day. Fortunately, all but one of my meds are one dose per day, and I can take them all at the same time, so I'll just work on hitting them up the first time I see the pill box each morning. Just grab the day's batch and swallow them down in two groups and then not have to worry about it until the next day ;)

And just for DVS: Several of the nurses were pretty hot, but unfortunately all were taken <sigh>. Even they weren't as hot as the two residents from Vanderbilt School of Medicine that I had when I was in the Nashville VA hospital in September, though... and only one of them was taken ;)

Yeah, it's not a woman scolding. It's a sick person scolding.

Teddy Bear?

Wow, so everyone gets that crap now, not just the breast cancer people.

*looks innocent*

Me? Little ole me start something? I never start anything, my friend. I just make the occassional observation. I mean, I can't even think why a couple of those aforementioned folks would send you PM's, IM's, emails, and phone calls about your meds. Certainly not because of some _I_ posted.
