prayers and thoughts for Boo

Boo, i understand it is hard for you to share this with your friends and that you are unable to put into words your feelings at the moment. i want to offer your friends a chance to help you with their prayers and thoughts, and i'm jumping ahead of checking your permission for doing this in case i am unable to post tomorrow.


one of Boo's brothers passed away recently. and now another brother is ill with Lou Gehrigs. he has had surgery on his neck and because of this, they are finding it difficult to intubate him to help ease his breathing.

Please, if you have time, spare a thought or a prayer for Boo and her family during this very difficult period.

I don't think she will mind this, WSO--she'll know your good words come from love and concern. I spoke to her Sunday and she is hanging in there. She's a strong girl and appreciates the good thoughts and prayers of all of us who have come to love her spirit and her poetry. We're her family, too.

Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts. I do appreciate them. My brother is still alive, and possibly improving, but it's a mixed blessing. He was moved to Vanderbilt today to undergo tests to rule out his having Lou Gehrig's. Unfortunately, even if it isn't ALS it's something equally as bad, so I'm wondering what's the point. But we're following his wishes, so in the end, I guess thats the point. Today is his 60th birthday. I do hope he'll be around to appreciate many more. We'll just have to wait and see.

Again, thank y'all so much. You're all a terriffic bunch of Imaginary Friends!
