Has anyone here ever lived in Prague, Cz or Rumania?

If so, I'd be interested in hearing from you via PM.

Thanks

I wish I did. It's the babe capital of Europe.

My mate's sister live there, though.

My sister loves to visit Prague. Says it's beautifull and cheap. One of the only towns not bombed during the war.

I guess you're talking about Prague...

I've spent a great deal of time in Prague - never time in Rumania.

What would you like to know?

Prague is definitely not the babe capital of Europe - definitely not. Rumania is cheaper than Prague, but the standard of living is much higher in Prague. Prague is amazing, the architecture, etc. The public transportation system is not as good as most Western European nations - such as England, France, Germany, etc. It's a little bit better than the public transportation in Budapest, if you have spent time there.

Prague's downfall is the vast Americanization/westernization that has occurred. There are so many Americans in Prague, it's unbelievable. I think the amount of North Americans in Prague really limits it's otherwise charming nature.

I love it there. Would I live there for an extended period of time? Yes. Would I live in Rumania for an extended period of time? Probably, so.

Rumania is going to be a little rougher place, as you probably know. I have good friends from Bucharest and another friend who is living outside of Bucharest right now. It's a hard life. I think it would be a better learning experience than Prague.

If you're planning a trip, skip over both locations. Go to Budapest and Sofia.

And make sure you stop over in Vienna, Austria

Married a Czech. Prague is a lovely place. the old town is so interesting.

I have many ROmanian friends, all to a man woman and child are vampires.

Well OK, they're not. But they like to pretend. Romania has one hell of a turbulant history, lots of wars at the same time the Czechs were being all arty and becoming "The Paris of the East" so it's interesting how the 2 countries diverged.

Anyway, that's my tupp'orth
