Potc- Pirates of the Carribean

Ok, I am the newest POTC fan... a little late to board the pirate ship, I admit. I have to say, I never really cared that much before, but I've been watching Sparrabeth music videos on youtube, and it has got me hooked. I've seen the first two movies, but not really watched them closely. I really can't wait to see them again for the love story of course. If it wasn't for youtube, I don't think I ever really would have gained the interest that I have gained in the last week or so. I'm not sure what was wrong with me before, but my eyes have been opened up! lol.

so anyway, anyone who wants to discuss the movie (or just gab) post here, but please avoid spoilers... especially regarding the third movie (I don't want to know ANYTHING about the third movie at all, please)

So, are you a fan and if so, are you a sparrabether or a willabether???

Lots of new folks since you've been gone, but most of them are good'uns.

I'll tell you what I know. I know that Elizabeth is Will's fiance and the daughter of the governer (I think this is all correct) and Jack rescues her for Will, but they start to fall in love, although of course they deny it. I know that he has a magic compass that points to his hearts desire, which he thinks is Gold or Treasure or whatever, but it's Liz. I know she tricks him with a kiss and chains him to the ship so the cracken (I think) will go after him and the rest of them can get away and that he calls her a pirate. I"m def hoping for the two of them to end up together, but I'm expecting a less than happy ending in that respect, even if it is disney.

I shouldn'ta said "no spoilers" from the first two... because that is sooooo severely limiting. I mean, just don't give away the end of #3 and I think I'll be ok or, you know any major suprises, just be a bit vague if you need to and I'll ask for clarification if i need it.

so anyway, at the very least, what sort of shipper are you??? (or let's say, were you, prior to seeing the end of everything)

The compass wasn't pointing at Elizabeth, Jack just wasn't sure what he wanted the most (because of his fear). Most reviewers thought the third was a step down, but I think you'll enjoy it (if just for the grandeur . . . it's a very BIG movie). I liked the first most of all, especially the fighting which was very well done, but not obviously fake (too much wire work kills it for me).

We rewatched "Black Pearl" today, at my seven year olds insistence... she then stated that we were watching #2 tomorrow...

#1 just has so many moments that were well done... but is it my favorite because I just saw it? Or because it is really my favorite? Hmmmm....
