A gift from me to all the inept rollers of Literotica
Take a well worn dollar bill and fold it at the bottom of the narrow end about an inch deep.
Fold your rolling paper inside the well of paper and fill with smokable substance.
Lick the tips of your forefinger and rub against your thumb until slightly tacky for a little traction and then pinch the open edge of the dollar bill shut and begin to roll upwards as if rolling a cigarette using the dollar bill.
Within the first twist, make sure the actual rolling paper has tucked around the substance and is not sliding up with the dollar bill. You can use your fingers to force the tuck...continue rolling until you've created a cigarette.
Lick, seal and smoke.
When you are ready to graduate to a more advanced method here's a few tips:
After folding the lip of your rolling paper about 1/2" make a little tuck on each end by pushing your forefinger into the crease and then pinching the paper shut. This creates a little pocket so the substance does not spill out when rolling. The tuck should be about 1/4-1/2 the depth of the main fold.
Distribute your smokable substance so that there is a slight rise in the center. This will even out when rolling to create an even smokable surface.
Do the finger lick and rub thing. (You'll be amazed at how much this helps!)
Cradle the filled rolling paper with all four fingers flat behind it and your thumbtips touching in the center and straight along the edge of the paper fold.
As you begin to roll your thumbs should begin to form a triangle pointing to the gummed edge of the rolling paper and then they will move slowly outward to the edge of the rolling paper.
Take your time. This is the part that takes practice. Find the right amount of pressure. You may need to use your thumbs to tamp the partially rolled cigarette back down to form a firmer, tighter cylinder.
When close to the finish, lick the gummy edge and finish twisting until it is sealed.
TIP:
Standard rolling papers do not have the chemicals that cause them to burn slowly like cigarette papers do. To slow down the burn and lessen the chance of a run, lick the entire thing and let it dry thoroughly before lighting. You may not want to let your smoking partners see this before they indulge

Not that you asked for help, But buy a cigarette roller and some 5/8 size zig-zags!
Or, buy some smokes, slowly roll the tobbaco out between thumb and fore finger.
Insert whatever, by rolling it between thumb and fore finger to break it up ( clean it first! use screen.) tamping the filter on a hard surface.
When almost full and well packed, twist the end and break off the filter.
Fire it up and enjoy.

Make a tinfoil pipe:
What you'll need:
A bic pen
a pin or a knife with a sharp point

cut a piece of the foil that's about 8" by 6" (20 cm by 15 cm for the metric folks) place your thumbs along the 8" sides at one end, and roll it into a tube the size of your thumb. What you'll need:
cardboard tube
aluminum foil
pin or sharp knife
take a toilet paper, paper towl, or any other plastic cardboard tube.
About an inch (2 1/2 cm) in from the end, cut a bowl-sized hole. Take a piece of tinfoil 2-3 times the size of the hole, place it on the tube making sure to cover the hole and push part of it into the hole to create a depression(this is your bowl) puncture it with the pin or the knife. Fill it with weed, cover the end away from your mouth, watch out for those carb hits, they're a bitch. One time my friend and I had all sorts of fun with a steam roller we made out of one of those 3' long wrapping paper tubes
Apple bowl:
What you'll need:
An apple
A knife
Tinfoil
A bic pen
Take the stem out of the apple, put the point of the pen against the depression in the bottom and slowly push it through until it comes out where the stem was. Cut a bowl-shape into the side of the apple and pierce the bottom of it so that it connects to the hole through the center. Make an aluminum screen to go in it. Fill the apple up, cover one end while smoking from it, and enjoy your resinated apple when you get the munchies.

I used to smoke a shed load of really skanky hash until I went a bit mad (hearing voices, thinking really fucked up shit like I was a telepathic virus transmitted to a new host every time I fell asleep but my family looked the same because they were just avatars of a deeper semantic construct of family, etc etc).
Now I don't touch cannabis in any form, because I don't enjoy it any more. but I'm quite happy to skin up for my friends as I like to think I'm quite good at it. I tend to roll them thinner with less tobacco than other rollers I know.

The pot I get anymore is too good to put in a joint. Too much paper. I would rather smoke out of a little homemade foil pipe than a joint.
I use a little glass pipe. I also like a screen.

I made a really great bong out of
1x 2 litre plastic bottle of cola or similar
2x bic
blutac
selotape
Join the two bics end to end, narrow end to fat end, and fix with lots of selotape. It needs to be sealed water and air tight.
Then cut two holes in the bottle, one for the downpipe you have just made, about two thirds of the way up from the bottom, and another one to the left or right (depending on handed-ness) just where the plastic starts bending over at the top.
Afix the downpipe through the lower hole, so the narrow end is inside the bottom of the bottle and the other end is about the height of the second hole. Use lots of blutac and selotape, this has to again be sealed air and water tight.
Fill with water until about 4 inches from the top of the bottle, this gives a nice amount of water for the smoke to bubble through, making the smoke cooler and smoother.
You can make a bowl out of alu foil in the usual way, but I just stuck a joint into the end of the bic and smoked my face off.

Warning to all smokers:
Never, ever, ever, EVER smoke out of plastic, except with bongs. And if you smoke out of one of those bic and soda bottle bongs, after a few loads you'll notice weird shit floating around on the surface of the water. That's plastic. When you suck the smoke through the plastic tube it melts the inside somewhat and you get plastic fumes in your lungs. That's why it's necessary to do it through a bong, the water filters out all that shit.
Oh, and a handy suggestion on the soda bottle bongs.. two actually.
First off, the hard plastic bottles, the ones cranberry juice come in, are the best.
Second off, it's much, Much easier to get the right size hole if you melt the plastic with a cigarette.

you guys have given me some good ideas... tho i dont like the aluminum foil pipes/bongs... the tinfoil burns and if you smoke it enough you start getting layers of tinfoil in your lungs... iv seen friends in the hospital because of it..... not my idea of a good High.....
