i hate that in the logitech you have to play with it more or less.... hmm may have to get some better ones later on and all....

Believe it or not...

...I actually used Windows' Paint program!

You can't get a specific X by Y size, but you can reduce by percentages - I just played around until I got a size that Lit accepted :)

Once you've loaded your image, you go to the Image menu, select 'Stretch/Skew' from the options, and enter the percentages you think will work in the horizontal & vertical...

a question I have would be how do you GET to post with an avatar? I've looked in my profile and it doesn't seem to be enabled. Is that just something that comes with time after I loose my "Virgin" status on here by posting?

(thinking hmm... if I'm a Virgin here, who's going to pop my cherry? -- sorry, bad me. Answers would be appreciate, tho)

Hiya, folks -

vanzarity, when you get to 100 posts, you can have an avatar. I think virgin changes to experienced at 30 posts, and it goes up from there.. I forget what they all are. Just look at people's post counts & the titles they have, you'll catch it. When you get to 1000, you may write your own title.

betman33, there is a great free program called Irfanview (the wonderful Weird Harold recommended it, you can download it off the net.) I really like it, it's staved off my photoshop cravings thus far.

Try browsing through the thread where people ask for images to be resized for av's, I forget the name of it... but it's usually floating around the How To Board somewhere.

Welcome welcome. :)

Watergirl, thanks for the Irfanview link. Very nice program.

You're welcome - enjoy playing with the av's! Mine was a charcoal sketch, I played with the color in Irfanview... it'll let you change proportions, too, I think.

don't know....

don't know much about computers....i would need a step by step explanation on how to get one on here....anyone?
