Posting Other People’s Stories?

I am wondering if it is ok or common practice for people to post other people’s stories on this site.

I am asking because I authored a story many years ago and posted it to the Altarboy site. It is still there.

I noticed that someone else posted it recently here on this site, which prompted me to create an account here for the first time.

I sent a message to the poster, asking them to take it down and I can see where there are comments on the story, but I can’t figure out how to see those comments or to post a comment myself.

Again, just wondering if it is ok for people to create an account here and post stories that they didn’t author.

No, it isn't.

There is a report button at the end of the story. Use that and add a link to your authorized version in the info box, saying you didn't give this person permission to post it.

If you have any problems using the report function, link the offending submission here, and someone can help you.
