out there that post erotic literature. Do a lot of the writers here post to other sites too?

I would appreciote input from those that do

Posting on Other Sites

Yes, there is a of overlap of writers (and stories) between this and other sites. The biggest is the newsgroup alt.sex.stories (and various subsidiaries). Everything I have here was on eroticstories.com some time back. And some other stories are on a few other sites, though the only one I can recall offhand is yesroom.com.
There was avery nice one called SpiraLZone.com, which sort of faded away. That the proprietress got married may have been a factor.

I have only posted stories here. Partly because I feel an afinity for Laurel and Manu and the "cummunity" they've created. Partly because I get annoyed when I think I've discovered an interesting read somewhere else and then find out I've already read it on another site. GRRR. I'm sure not everyone feels the same way I do.

Loyal to Literotica

Laurel accepted my stories when I had few, if any, writing skills. Since I have posted several stories, I have been approched to write for two other sites, as I suspect many of the other authors have. I will remain here.

A secondary factor is that this is the best all around story site that I have ever seen, and the fact that they accept my stories means that I have made it with the best. Not to say that I compare with such authors as Carl East or Whispersecret. But, at least I made the "team."

A good friend of mine told me about a site that he has stories posted on, besides Literotica, where he earns money for them. It was also suggested that I branch out into selling audio stories, instead of just posting them here at Lit.

I found that I am disinterested in selling erotica on the web. I'm more interested in becoming a published writer in other genres (I know, join the club), so I am going to concentrate my efforts there, rather than spreading myself out all over the adult net.

Like Softly, I consider Literotica the best of all the sex stories sites, not just because of the ease of navigation and the myriad of wonderful authors, but because Laurel is truly interested in a story about the relationships between the characters (just as long as some sex occurs), rather than a story about the sex itself. I feel darned good that my writing rated enough to be posted here.

Every one agrees!!

Yes I think from what I have seen with all the postings every knows Laurel and Manu run the best Adult Stories site on the net. It seems, like me. people know of other sites that post stories but none have the quality of both the site and stories that are on Literotica.

Last year I paid $29.00 for two months membership for a stories only site. The audio stories didn't work half the time and if you emailed the webmaster the email came back to you as not a valid email addy. I had read every story after the two months period and they only updated ten or twelve stories a week. There was none of the interaction that Laurel and Manu have provide here for free.

Some of the other sites I have seen have underage sex on them and I copy stories to read later some times. (Then I delete them, don't want to violate copyrights.)Yipes that scares me to find the story I copied a week ago has underage stuff!! I could be in trouble for having on my cumputer. thats one reaso I do most of my story looking on Literotica.

Another is the chance to get to know other like minded adults (like yourselves) on the net and share their excitement.

I have had literotica fan emails cussing me out for making money as an adult webmaster and others from girls asking how they can get a site put up on the net and have fun. I have had writers tell me my stuff sucked. (I beleive that scene is in Kimberly goes Vamp III 23 paragraph! Hehehe) and that I rite (yes I mispelled that on porpoise!! hehehe) the best Vamp stories they every read. I value all of the input. Those who tell me what they don't like what I write help me to improve my skills and those who love my work give me the will to continue writing. I wouldn't get that on a site that just paid me 50 bucks and then ignored me. How would I know if their readers liked me. They don't want me to know because then I'll want 100 bucks for the sequel!!! hehehe

I visit a number of other sites ... but, I keep coming back to this one because it is still the best over all. However, I have noticed that numerous writers of this site, do post their work on other sites.

Several of the authors here are posted on at least one other site. I don't see anything wrong with that. If Laurel an Maneu required exclucvive materal, I would comply as I agree that this is as good as it gets in the Adult net. To post elsewhere they have to pay me.

I personally think Literotica is the best story site on the Internet. I have some stories posted on other sites http://ladiesweb.net for one. It's a nice slick net with good stories. They saw my stories here and asked permission to post them. Laurel said it was fine with her.

Literotica still comes up tops with so many new stories coming up every day. And there is so much more to it than just stories.

For a couple who only works this site part time and hold down full time jobs they are TOPS!

i don't think literotica has to worry about them as competion but It is a real nice site (Says aniceguy who loves BI girls) with seeral bi girl stories. Very good site to catch some good stories. Thnks for that link Tawny T.

I also post on a number of different sites, I love this site and enjoy the feedback and fan mail....woohooo....this site has some awsome writers and most do like me and post on two or three different sites. I have found that some sites have a different type of reader than this one and expect more sex than story...lol...and I try to please them if it doesn't take away from the storyline. It also gives the writer more exposure and isn't that why we write?

As far as being paid for writing, we do love and treasure each of you and wish we'd win the lotto so we could properly compensate you all. In lieu of that, we're working on a few ways to help you kids get a little green.

One, which I've mentioned, is the Contests. This spring (once the scripts are in place and tested), we'll be running monthly contests which will offer cash prizes. The contests will highlight a different category every month - one month it will be Group, the next Lesbian, etc.

The other is geared for those of you who write novel-length erotic fiction. We're setting up a site (adult_ebooks.com - it's still under construction) in which you may sell your erotic novel in ebook format. If you write novel-length fiction and this sounds like something you'd be interested in, let me know and I'll put you in my Interested Authors file. You don't have to sell your novel exclusively through us, though we plan to offer incentives to those who do.

Anyhow, that's all stuff we'll be setting up once we get the new scripts in place and the backlog cleared. We've got some other cool surprises in the works as well. Thanks soooo much for all of your support - it means a lot to Manu and I!

I'm so sorry Laurel and I do feel guilty about this ... I have my first ever story up on another site, I wrote it specifically for that site you see. Including some of people that post there in the story line, I loved writing it and had so much fun along the way. It is specific to that site, to what we do and talk about on that site.

I'm enjoying writing but my biggest fear is that, if I did submit a story here, with the extremely high standards it would look rather stupid. I guess that's why I haven't submitted anything here yet.

I'm currently writing something and if the wonderful person that Edit's for me thinks it's good enough then I'll try my hand at submitting here. That's if you don't mind Laurel

I read stories at some other sites, but I only post on Literotica. Laurel and Manu have the most attractive and easiest to navigate of all the sites i have seen, and the quality of the stories seems better here.

I agree with the others...this is the best site I've personally seen for writers of erotica. The site itself is easy to use, has lots of variety, and seems to have attracted a number of interesting and talented writers.

I think anyone who wants to try their hand at writing erotica is wise to make Literotica their first stop. Writing is the best practice and here you will find readers and even a few willing to comment on what you write.

My hat's certainly off to the site and it's the only site of this type with a link on my web site. It certainly takes a lot of committment to keep a site up and running as professionally as Literotica.com

I have never submitted to other sites, but I have been contacted by other sites and usually agree with the stipulation that they plug Literotica. Whether they do or not, I do not know. I never follow up on the requests.
