You have to go to the Story's "main page" and up along the top there should be links that say either log in or register. Click on log in. From there you can make changes to your profile (like uploading a pic). The profile that can be viewed in the BB is not your "main" one. the only type of pic someone could see there is your avatar once you hit 100 posts or greater.
