omg...i actually apparently post on average 6.92 times per day. that is actually way more than i would have thought.
i always think of myself as a newbie

and i am rather shocked at how many 'less than 1' (or 0 for WD) there are! lots n lots of lurkers!

I've been around for almost a year and been posting around the same average all along actually. Some days 12 posts, often a few days without posting and usually two to four a day.

My profile says 4.11 at the moment, so I chose 4 in the poll. I come and go in cycles on Lit. Sometimes, I post a lot, and sometimes, I'll go days without posting. I usually read every day, but it depends on how bored I am and what piques my interest as to how much I post.

I agree with this. It's been a while since I've gone a day without logging in at least once, but often I don't post. Having lots of free time at work and the ability to disable avs, signatures, and images goes a long way toward helping me clock in more hours on Lit.

It's not an accurate accounting of one's time, but just a simple averaging, using simple math calculations. To be really accurate, one would also have to factor in the number of times I logged in and just lurked, as well as the times I logged in and posted. <snip>

OK, I'm just sayin'...this PPD thing isn't a very accurate measurement of someone's true posting habits. To do that, you'd have to get into more advanced calculations.

I agree with this also. The amount of hours I spend on Lit reading, comtemplating, writing PMs, and sometimes discussing what happens here off the forums isn't reflected in my post count. But it was a great excuse to take a look at my profile and see that I average 10 posts a day, something I hadn't even known.

Well the profile says 5.74 per day but over the last year it's more like 1-3 a month or less courtesy of family obligations. A lot of the times I'm not even lurking anymore. So behind on all the gossip!

My profile says almost 5 per day, but I think that must be inflated from when I used to hang out on the Playground board all the time playing word games. Now that I mostly hang here, I'm still reading a lot more than I'm posting. So, I answered 4, but I'm not sure that's representative of reality. I'm no lurker, but definitely still a newbie.
