Post something good!!

So our power was out overnight. We had a fireplace that kept us pretty warm.

My husband has a rechargable battery at work strong enough to run a few appliances for a short while. Not a generator, but we could have run a hotplate if needed.

His place of work was designated as a Red Cross shelter for homeless or those without heat. When he went to his office he was asked how we were doing, what our situation was, etc. They loaded him down with hot food for us, even though he told him we were ok. They were especially concerned about our son (2 1/2) and wanted to make sure he had milk.

It was just a little thing, but it touched me all the same. I couldn't help feeling a little guilty taking food when others were in much worse shape then we were.

So that's my good thought for the day.:)

It is so nice when others reach out to help others expecting nothing in return but to know they have perhaps made someone's life a little less trying. :) Hope everything is doing OK for you.

Soon i will be able to be in the arms of the person i hold most dear to me, even if for only a short while.

LOL, have fun..though after my last move from Oz to Holland the thought of moving again at the end of the year fills me with horror. :)

LOL, last summer I moved about 5 miles down the road and that was enough for several years to come.

But I am excited for you Sierra.:)

Thank you Catalina and red... i'm moved in, kinda... most of my stuff is here, but it's kind of strewn all over the place. i'm hoping to have everything together by tomorrow evening.

Today is play day.. not doing anything but watching movies all day with friends!! :)
 
It's always good to have lunch with friends and spend some quality time with the one I love.
 
Spring has sprung, and with it has come a lifting of the massive depression which clouded my world for so long, renewed positive energy and inspiration, my art displayed on a BDSM site, and it seems much encouragement from many others for me to apply myself to my writing and working towards getting something published in the real world. Add to that a certain Master making some big decisions which promise positive outcomes, and it seems our world has changed drastically in a short space of time. I hope others have also experienced positive vibes with the changing season.

Edited to add, I need to give thanks for a mother who thinks of the simplist things to bring the biggest smile to my dial. I collected the mail to find a parcel with some classic Australian magazines she had sent...one I never would have bought while living there, but now made me overjoyed at the anticipation of sitting for hours pouring over all the Australianisms, the icons that just happened to be in these particular issues in abundance, the pages and pages of recipes and gossip, and best of all, crosswords in English....my first in over a year!!! I am happy, happy, happy.:D

(that's from an add but it's printed in pink on the center of a page and has pink flowers lightly scattered on the page... if you vut off hte bottom where the advertizer's name is it's quite pretty... i have it next to my door so when i walk out i see it.)
 
Yay!! A certain Master has come home with a copy of 2 more recently published pieces of his writing to surprise me with...and here I thought he just wanted me to wait on him (though that is expected) when he asked for his bag!! Shame on me. :D I am so proud of him.

Something that made me smile..

mari rose and the Wonder Munchkin (her neice) and me dancing in the living room in swimsuits while we sing "Supernateral" by Santana.. It was a fun fun day...
 
Brought home from the local shelter a beautiful cat that's about two years old. She's such a sweetie too.
