I am not a writer but I am an avid reader (of some genres) and, generally, will leave a comment.

This week I read several stories from one author who, clearly, has some problems with copy and paste. As a result at leats two of their stories are a mess, with both, chronology and duplication issues.

After receiving a comment highlighting the problem, which is easily fixed, does the website allow posted stories to be modified?

Yes - authors can submit an edited version of their story. But the site doesn't give edits priority, and it can take a month or two for the new version to go up.

Basically, it encourages us to do the best job we can the first time around.

Yes. It takes forever. I've one waiting since end of May.

Yes. You go into the submission page as if you were submitting a new story, then title the submission Title of Story -- EDITED. Then enter the full story with the edits and submit.

It's not a bad idea to include a note to Laurel, but it's not necessary.

However, new stories get processed first, so an edit can take a while to show up.
