Honestly. Don't know how to do it! I'm using a Mac and I can't seem to get a picture (jpeg) to post here--in the message area. How do I do it?

First of all, the image must be on a site, not on your computer. On the image you want to post right click on the photo. A menu will open, choose properties. A new window opens with general information about the item. Copy the address(url) and then you will paste that into this reply area using the tag , which is found above just under the 'size' drop down menu. Remember with these tags you turn it on and then turn it off... [img] turns the function on then will turn it off.

Give that a try.

That dosn't work with a MAC's one button mouse.

I don't know how to get the URL of the image with a MAC, although I do know that it can be done through a context-sensitive menu similar to a Windows based "right click" menu.

Getting the URL of the image itself is the trick. Once you have a URL, like https://forum.literotica.com/images/editor/insertimage.gif

You just need to highlight it and click the Insert Image button (whichis the URL above:
insertimage.gif
or manually type the IMG and /IMG tags around it (enclosed in the square brackets that make them work.)

The image can't be protected in any way -- no passwords, qualifiers or hotlink blocking, and it must be an umabiguous URL to a recognised image file type.

The Image must be accessible to the forum software at all times; It can't be on your computer unless your computer is always connected to the web and the URL doesn't start with a drive letter or "FILE:".

If the image you want is NOT already on the internet, just attach it. It will show up as a link instead of displaying automatically because that's the way Lit has the forum software configured. But it will also show you how many people bothered to look at it instead of paging past it or backed out before itt finished loading.

Okay. This helps. That clarifies what happened when I picked the "image" button. So. Nothing on a computer, has to be on a site. Hm.

Thanks very, very much for all that info. Oh, and I do have the mighty-mouse on my desktop so I can right-click if I need to. Most often, however, I'm using my laptop--so, no right-click. But I'm sure there's a way for it to work.

It has to be on a site only if you want the picture to be visible in the message section.

If you just want to upload a jpg so that people can click on it and open the picture, you should be able to do that by clicking on the Manage Attachments button that's in the Additional Options section when you reply to a thread.
