I'm a new author who just got his first story posted today. I'm pleased that it has a 4.22 rating as of this writing with more than 100 people voting. It is good to know people seem to be enjoying my first-ever effort at writing erotica.

I have written a two-part series I am ready to submit. I've noticed that many veterans have multi-part series and they are listed on their profiles as such. It looks like I just submit the first story as "Wild Sex, Ch. 1" (not the real title) and then the next chapter as "Wild Sex, Ch. 2", but I'm not sure.

Am I wrong? Does the site automatically list them as "Wild Sex, a Two Part Series" on my profile once it sees the two submissions share the same title except with different chapters?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

They post them by the title you give. If you don't list a chapter number than there won't be any. Some sites do it automatically but Literotica does not.
Welcome to the site. Best of luck in your writing endevors.

I haven't done a multi-part series, but if I did, I would put a note in the "notes" box along the lines of "part 2 of multi-part series", and preferably a link to the exact URL of part 1, to make it easy for them.

That should do it - that's all I do for mine, and it automatically links them together as part of a series.

However, this doesn't seem to happen until a few hours after the story hits the "New Stories" page.

A hint: If you are doing chapter numbers or part numbers use Ch.01; Ch.02 etc otherwise a longer 12 chapter work might end up listed like this:

Ch.1
Ch.10
Ch.11
Ch.12
Ch.2
Ch.3
Ch.4
Ch.5
Ch.6
Ch.7
Ch.8
Ch.9

If you use 01, 02, your work will be listed correctly up to Ch.99.

The site upgraded the software a while back to bracket serial stories. It is meant to be a help to both writers and readers - which I think it is.

I don't think you have to use 'ch...' or even 'pt....' but a number, say 'wild sex 2' allows the software to tidy your series in a way to attract readers. It works. When you post '3', the heading automatically changes to, 'a 3 part series' etc.
