Porn scripts???

I agree. I always thought I could write some good porn scripts because I always have some wild, dirty scenario floating around in my head. I'd love to be able to write something up and then see people act it out!

I was thinking about taking my Moving Day series and turning it into one....with maybe a little more plot and tone down just a hair on the gratuitous fucking....or maybe not, I don't know. If I tone it down just a notch it should be a decent, really hot flick, if not then it would still be really awesome...and aside from a lot of extras, I'd be up to like 4 characters so far that I'd have to pay attention to....

Screen Writing

I'm kicking around the idea of writing a porn script. I have a basic premise and some character types in mind.

I just need to know how professional of a script the damn thing needs to be. I've never had a formal script writing class and never actually perused a legitimate script.

Any help?

If you're writing a script for yourself, you can use any format you want. If you intend to show the script to others, you should probably use a standard format.

Take a look at http://www.screenwriting.info/ for some basic hints and formats.

Unless you just want to film some fucking action, you'll probably want to write a script. Much easier to make your decisions at the keyboard than when a camera's rolling.

If you're going to use a Literotica story for the basis of a script, you should ask the author first. Who knows, he / she could be a lot of help writing a script.

I'm surprised a Literotica video/film group hasn't been formed yet. There's plenty of material here just waiting to be captured.

I guess when it comes down to it, I just want cash....if I could sell the damn thing, I'd be a happy camper. I know how much movie scripts go for generally, but not porn scripts...

...but still, every little bit helps those college loans get smaller.

I think it's mostly the interludes in between the sex that would be scripted. How could u script sex anyway? Buggered if I know.

If you want to make money selling your script then chatbug is right. Since I have written a screenplay, I can tell you that it must be in proper industry format.

That would be 12 pt., courier font. Also, you need to have your margins set properly, including your tab stops for the different parts of the script (scene description, character name, dialogue, etc.) Lastly, as a first time submission of screenplay shoot for around 90 pages, as each page of properly formated script is equal to one minute on the screen.

Now, I have never written a porno, so not quite sure how that would go, I am speaking of regular screenplays.

If you are going to shoot it yourself, then don't worry about all that. Just map out the scenes and in what order, with whatever dialogue is needed for the scene and shoot it. No big deal.

From what I hear there is a big market for amatuer video as well, so who knows what you can accomplish. Good luck.

If you do want a good, simple book that will help you write a screenplay in just 21 days, get Vikki King's book, "How to Write a Screenplay in 21 Days". Very good book. Gives all the formating and how to set up characters, plot, and the three Acts, along with subplots and such.
