I've seen a number of recent porn films that are trying to have plot and characterizations, but it's just not working: what you usually have is models talking and acting, which rarely comes across well.
Again, for actual acting, you need to go back to some of the early stuff from the 70s, where there was still a belief that this was acting mixed with sex. "The Opening of Misty Beethoven," for example, actually had a script (okay, okay, so it was a filthy version of "Pygmalion," but if you're going to steal, stealing something good is okay
