'Popstars' Is It Real

I've never watched the show but today the ads are heavy about the 'final five' being picked tonight. Does anybody here watch it? Do these five get to make a real CD or is it just TV hype? Is the show any good?

Maybe our Uk series is ahead of yours, but we've got our five. Needless to say they picked the safe options (the babyfaced blonde girl, the black guy with the big smile etc). Needless to say the gutter press have dug up various "scandals" about them.
This was done before Christmas, since then they have been chasing round the pop studios and producers, and they have done some recording.
Needless to say they sound just like everybody else.
This is the sort of thing I guess you now have to look forward to.
Try not to get too excited. LOL
