Pool Repairs

Hello folks,I could use some help with a slightly awkward situation. My beloved Dionysus is having surgery on Thursday to remove a varicocele. Which is well,a delicate spot in his ,er,um...the "Pool"as we are euphimistically calling it. Technically it's a varicose swelling around a spermatic cord. And it is quite painful as he has been neglecting it for 5-8 years now. It seems that his swim team has beeen holding practice but no-one is competitive enough to leave the pool. Thus with all the swimmers coming to practice the pool has become too full, and a bit sauna like. So some of our team members have perished in the dangerously warm pool. Needless to say he is quite unhappy about it. Actually I am not sure what bothers him more; the idea of surgery under general anesthetic, or his wife referring to his groin as a swimming pool. But since he is stuck with both situations I thought it would be nice for him to feel the love and support of the BB.Okay,to be frank I will be without sex for a fortnight and I need something to keep my mind off of my woes, that way I can give him all of my love and devotion. Thank you-

Dionysus, you are in my prayers and have all my empathy. I have had surgery in that "area" and know your pain, both pre and post surgery. Earthgoddess, you also have all my empathy. My wife and I have had numerous surgical episodes causing unwanted sexual respite. All my best to you both!

Hubby LOVES IT when I affectionately refer to his as our "little cess pool of love sewage." Ahh well. <shrug>

You all are the best,about to go pick up my love...surgery went fine, he has a killer headache and is tired and grouchy. My son had to wake up at 6 am with us so he too is grouchy,but he sure looks cute in his dino pjs-my son not the hubby. It is amazing the things they can do out patient these days.

Ice packs are good the first 24-48 hrs. Also keeping the area elevated....on a pillow or a folded towel....

Hope you hear quickly.

Ahhhh, it hurts when I laugh. Thanks all for the care and concern. I can hobble around a bit and ice packs do work great. Can't really elevate the area though.

What a way to get a week off of work.

When I went in the O.R. the nurses were real nice but acting a little weird. I found out when I awoke and found I had been shaven while under the general. Ummmmmmmmm coincidence, I think not. Perk of the job, nurse?
Oh well back off to bed to rest and watch movies.

The Pool Is Open

Woo Hoo!!!!-the pool is open and the water is fine...Hubby is all a-okay. Weird scar tissue on his pelvis but his,ahem his "fellow and friends"-fine and dandy. I think I liked the shaved thing-kinda cool and soft. Thank you all for being so kind, and dealing with all my pent up emotions during this difficult time. Now we just gotta get those guys in the pool for practice just in case we do decide that there will be competitive swim meets in the future.

Eyes wide open should have been glued shut

Well my friends-running over to Hecate and kissing her,then hugging shyguy((((hugs)))-I am sooo irritated. Last night we were child free so we rented "Eyes Wide Open"drank some great wine,ate ripe cherries and some awesome MicroBatch ice cream-cinnamon bun mmmmmmm-I HATED the film...every moment was an exercise in excrutiating, self indulgent, artistic pandering to the perverse. Oh believe me I tried to like it-what with the nudity and the amazing masqued ball(hehehe) I mean ,well you know-it was awful. It even messed up our post movie fun as I was rather perturbed by the film's vapid message. Sorry I had to vent-Hecate I am ready for you baby....
