Ponch only takes a break when Ponch's duty to the highways and the children are through. Then Ponch breaks out Ponch's Whitney Houston records and clears Ponch's mind. Ponch sometimes switches Whitney for Air Supply. Ponch also enjoys Journey and the Commodores, but Ponch' worries that they are too hardcore for the children.

Ponch thought Ponch made peace with that biker gang. Ponch swapped biking stories with the tough bikers. The gang was jelly in the hands of Ponch's charisma. Also, they enjoyed when Ponch danced Ponch's Latin Lambada of Love. Ponch brings peace to bikers because Ponch shares with them the love of riding the open highway, hating the sight of litter, and being a good role model for children.
