This thread is too young to die! Does anyone know when the new season of Big Love will begin? I do think it's proven to be great inspiration in the past for me.

Anyway, I'll offer a sneak peek into a few of my other poly ideas.

Another one could be almost "cult like" with Pagans, or any other non Morman religion. Perhaps it's with a small group that's found a close bond together, kind of like swingers, but more. Or maybe it's still with one man and multiple women. Perhaps the man is a high priest.

I've also been interested in writing about a compound - the Juniper Creek aspect of Big Love.


Does anyone else have some good ideas?

I think it would be fun to get away from the whole religious aspect, and see a story about people who simply embrace the lifestyle - maybe a busy group of twenty somethings, friends from college, never able to sort out who was dating who, end up sharing a big house - including at least one young career oriented Mom who is glad to have a 'sister wife' who prefers to stay home and care for the child...

I won't write this, but would enjoy it!

edit: and only 2 very close friends. <3 I like the idea though... Not many people are "for" the idea of it in the end, sadly.

i think it's a great idea with lots of potential. many years ago when i was working in parts of africa i actually lived with a family with 3 wives - i always imagined the great possibilities that would invite for the husband! though, in this case there was deep antagonism between wife 2 and 3, and wife 1 was a bit old and ugly for my tastes... guess that is why there was no. 2 and 3!
