unlike my norm, i'll start.

my preferred browser is opera and i love it. when i open it, it automatically opens up slashdot in my work PC while it opens up a different forum in which i participate on my home PC.

what about you?

CNN. It's so reassuring to open up my browser and know that the vast left wing conspiracy is still alive and well, watching my back. :D

Firefox, though I prefer Opera. However, Opera doesn't play well with Gmail, my primary homepage.

SO am I like the only guy who uses Internet Exploder? I just switched to FireFox at home and I really like the tabbed browsing set up, but I still primarily use IE here at work. Why, you may ask, am I still dancing with the devil?

Easy to answer, I'm a Web Developer and as such, I like to deal with the worst-case scenario. Nothing can fuck up a good web page like IE6! So if my pages work in IE, they'll work in just about anything these days.

Heh.

I use IE on occasion. My hubby and I have things set up so that, in theory, we could post on Lit at the same time. He's logged in via IE, and I'm logged in via Firefox.

He has a whopping two posts in three years.

I use opera which is set to continue on from the last time I used it, which is usually three or so pages from lit, my last google search and whatever else I was looking at.

Not if you use a lot of MS-specific CSS classes and ActiveX controlls. INSTANT BROKEN PAGE. :p

But anyway back to the thread topic. I'm using FireFox and it's locked permanently in to my own site, which I've been neglecting actually finishing it.

Yeah, that's a great feature, and I was thrilled to find an extension for firefox the other day that does the same thing.

That's great! I am frequently having to shut down Firefox because after a half-dozen or so tabs, redirects (like on .NET PassPort sites) just stop working. It's annoying to have to rebrowse to all the pages I had open.

Edit: I just realized this makes post #100 for me! :nana:

I was having problems with Firefox just shutting down spontaneously, obliterating posts I was working on and a bunch of research and pages of interest. I'd like to figure out the problem and fix it, but this is a great solution. It even works after a crash or improper shutdown.

Here you go:

Thanks Erika! It works like a charm! No more revisiting pages if I accidenly close the browser anymore! I also installed IE Tab for those nuicance sites that only work in MSIE. :)

You're welcome. :) The IE viewer DOES come in handy, and if you're in the market for a spell checker, search for SpellBound.

Mozilla.. (Not firefox, Mozilla 1.7)
And my start page is a page full of useful links, and searches, that i made myself and host on my web server.

IE is crap, whoever's still running it should switch. :p

SpellBound is actually one of the first extensions I got installed. The problem is I tend to forget it's there. :p
