Political predictions

What do you predict for the outcome of the 2020 U.S. elections? I'm not just asking about vote tallies, I'm wondering what you guess may happen between now and January.


My prediction:

Joe Biden will win and the Democrats will take the Senate. Donald Trump will declare the election to be fraudulent for a whole host of reasons, and press the decision to the Supreme Court. The court will rule in favor of Joe Biden. Trump will encourage his fringe followers to rebel and there will be many incidents of violence, including mass shootings and kidnappings/assassinations of Democrat politicians. Donald Trump will take Air Force One to Moscow and not return. Meanwhile the corona virus will have killed over half a million U.S. citizens before inauguration day.


God, I hope I'm wrong about a lot of this...except for the part about Joe Biden winning.

What do you predict?

The fundamental differences can't be bridged, they are incompatible.

One group wants the totalitarian nanny state to manage their lives for them.

The other side wants to be free to do what they want to do, what they think is best for themselves.

You can't have it both ways, either the feds kick a lot of the issues back to the states OR we're going to have another fight.

I think Trump is going to win, by EC again, and (D)'s are going to flip over the fact that XX million more votes didn't get the win because they all came from 4 or 5 states.....set their cities/communities on fire, cutting their own noses off........ again.

I doubt (D)'s take the Senate, I think with all the pro-rioting/but jail you for trying to live any sort of normal life they might even lose ground in the house. Lots of moderate suburbanites aren't very impressed with the pro-rioting/anti-ever working again just do communism instead, position the (D)'s have adopted.

At the state/local level I think (D)'s are going to lose their ass's.

Exactly why a Constitutional Amendment is needed allowing states to peacefully leave. The US is no longer united. Cut our loses and start anew. Otherwise, it is just a matter of time until the violence becomes directed.

Well, I've got some skin in the Lit prediction game. I made a bet with a Cult-45 poster that if Trump wins, I'll spend a year off Lit. I'd need that year to invest in more real goods, because another Trump term means that the U.S. would become even more of a dog-eat-dog situation.

This time I think Trump will lose both the popular and electoral vote, but not by much on the electoral vote. I predict the Senate will be tied, 50-50, after all the races are decided. I think Trump will encourage his cult members to continue to be divisive and pursue racist policies, and he will plan to run again in 2024. Cult-45 members will continue to plan and/or commit violent acts and get locked up for it in some cases.
