Just wondering if anyone else likes to play poker. At home, the casino or online?

Ahh the FB poker... we had someone play down the club last week for the first time who learnt to play on FB while she was ill... and won!!!! She got very lucky though.

Yes, I play online. I now play on FB/Zynga. I keep telling myself I am going to dnld Full Tilt and play with real money, but I haven't. I had Poker Stars on an old pc, but I didnt really like it. I have never played for real money, but I would like to. I am not good, but I am not el stinko either. I always play No Limit Texas Hold em and I prefer to play Sit and Go's.
 
I love Texas Hold'em, usually play every weekend with friends. I have played online for money, at charity tourney's and at the casino. Pretty much down for poker anywhere long as I have money for it ;)
 
I'm terrible at it. Truly awful.
I like euchre instead. We often have friends over for a few games. Always guys vs girls. My partner is getting MUCH better, and we're finally playing for the others hand.

Used to play at Party Poker all the time. Actually too much to be honest. Then the laws changed and I was not able to play anymore. I won a few tourny's there. Largest being a 50+5 buy in that has 1250 entries. Won $7400 that was pretty cool. I would play 2-4 hours almost every night especially when I was on the road.

i used to be pretty much obsessed with playing, but i've calmed down over the last year or two. i still play a home game or two monthly, but that's about it. i play at the casinos in AC maybe once or twice a year if i'm in the mood for it. i've played online, but never had much success. i put $100 into poker stars while i was unemployed and played in the micro tourneys and i'm up a little, but i haven't touched it since i started working.

not sure if you know or not, but pokerstars has a feature where you can create your own home league. i went ahead and created a league and it seems pretty cool. you can set up your own tourneys and cash games. if there's enough interest i'll provide the club info for people to join up. if you've got any questions or suggestions for the potential league feel free to ask/offer.

That was what prompted me to start the thread. Maybe find 5 or 6 players on here and set a home game up, get a game or two running from time to time.
I'd be up for that.
 
yeah, it would be pretty cool if we could get something like that going. if anyone is interested, the stakes are pretty low. the highest cash game is $0.25/$0.50 with a range of 100-250 big blinds, and the highest tourney stakes is $20 + $1. again, those are only the maximums. i wouldn't want to start off that high. it looks like cash games can be set up to play as long as players are available whereas tourneys have specific start times.

LIKES to play? How about LOVES to play.......... I'm in a every other Friday night game w/ a group of 8 guys; I ummm well head to Vegas at least once a month to play (poker), and 2 pals and there is the temptation to play in the W.S.O.P just once and get my ass kicked.........I do hope it won't be on a bad beat river card.........that would BITE (and not in a manner I prefer)
 
Nice thread. I love poker. I used to play on pokerstars and partypoker back in the day but not so much nowadays. I prefer playing in real-life tournaments. I'd be down for an online low stakes "home game" or even something friendly(free) to get beginners involved.
 
unfortunately the home league feature has games with stakes only. the good news is that some of those stakes are extremely low. for cash they've got $0.01/$0.02 and for tourney's they've got $1 + $0.10

I prefer live too (play twice a week) but still get to play online most weekends.

Yes ive seen that, which is good. (I joined one from a poker group last night) If we get enough people interested I would be happy to set one up.

i set up a $0.01/$0.02 table for anyone that wants to check it out. if we get enough people i can set up more tables, and also start to schedule tourneys.

also, the site offers more than just hold em for anyone that wants other games. there's also omaha, stud, razz, and draw amongst others.
