Hi all.. I know I haven't been around much lately cause life has been interesting. So, I've missed y'all and now D is telling me to poll the audience on a question of respect...
Remember the old slug bug game? Where whenever you saw a VW Bug you yelled "Slugbug blue (or whatever colour it was)" and slugged someone (gently) for it? In our family, we changed it to "Poke bug" and poked another person. We also changed a few rules. Like no poke backs, (poking someone back for the same Bug), no driving past known Bug houses or dealerships or repair shops, because if the Bug lives there it doesn't count, and the latest new rule.. Convertable bugs are now worth two pokes.
I had not introduced this idea to D. Until the day he took me and the Domme Scout to the Desert Museum and out for ice cream. After about 10 miles of the Scout and I poking each other we finally explained it to him. He got a look of unholy glee in his eyes and suddenly I'm driving over narrow mountains roads getting poked by the Domme Scout and the Dom and prayin' we get there soon! Ever since then, I have poked with discretion. That is, judging on his sense of humor at the time, I would just count them, sometimes pointing out what a good subbie I am because there are all these poke bugs out there and I'm not poking my Sir! And only sometimes poking him.
I learned of the new Convertable rule tonight and gleefully explained it to him. He says that it is disrespectful to poke one's Sir and if I poke him, he is going to poke me back with a riding crop..
I gently disagreed pointing out that playful poking between a subbie and her Dom is not really all that disrepectful; it is just playfully teasing. Hence the poll.
