When I go home this weekend, I have to uncover that notebook, I want to post it, once I've brought it up, I was hoping someone would be able to tell me how good/bad it was, honestly. Please email me if you are interested.

I know that there are several other poets hanging about. (I'm NOT one of them BTW) However, I don't think you're going to get an honest critique of poetry here. At least not under your current username.

With your current username, I would be willing to bet large sums of money that over half of any responses you get to any poetry posts would be come-ons thinly disguised as flattery.

Most of the rest will be positive comments along the lines of "This poem really touched my heart."

People who aren't touched by, or just don't like your poetry will simply not respond.

My daughter submits her poetry to poetry.com, and has been published in one of their anthologies. I don't think she gets any feedback at all from that site though.

There is also the point that poetry submitted to Literotica needs to be of a sexual nature. (I get the impression that most of the contents of your notebook is sexual in nature.) Non-erotic poetry would have to be submitted elsewhere (barring a dispensation from Laurel.)

Finally, I would have said all this in an E-MAil, but you didn't give one, and there's no mail icon under your post. (I haven't checked your profile or member's profile to search for one.)

PS Nicestories.com and Eroticstories.com both have poetry categories that allow for anonymous feedback and multiple author names. NiceStories.com is a clone of the software for Eroticstories.com, so submissions procedures and feedback choices are the same for both.

I am NOT saying that you shouldn't post your poetry here! I'm just pointing out that the feedback you are going to get from here is going to be different than feedback you're going to get from a site that is more poetry oriented.
