Everything I've seen surpasses the vast majority of 'work' that most others churn out in the name of erotica, both in quality and composition.

I get talked down to quite a bit around here, I am used to it. But if anyone was under the impression that I was describing my own writing as "low quality", I am happy to clarify that I was not.

Doubtful you failed on it. I was just speaking for myself on the niceness part. I don’t email Laurel on a daily basis. Just mentioning that when I had an issue, it was resolved in a timely manner in my instances

I just make sure the subject line is really clear. Any time it's been relevant, Laurel has gotten back to me.

So to defend one author you insult the 'vast majority' of people's work. Work is in quotes to further mock it.

Should have been clear enough. I placed second in the April fools contests, and the pm was titled April fools. I've asked to have the price money I won in previous contest donated to the same charity, and Laurel was responsive then.


Laurel: If you read this, I have now PMd you 4 times without a reply. Not sure if there are technical issues, but can you please respond here to say you've received them? A site such as this should be supportive of a free speech organisation such as PEN International, to whom I requested the price money be donated.

The inevitable bottom line to all those who posted with a conveyed "PMs have worked for me" head shake (they've always worked for me too, but I've rarely PMed) is that obviously it isn't working for everyone--and, in fact, isn't working for lots of folks. The bottom line is that response is not even here, which goes to basic Web site administration performance.
