No can do at the moment - Photo Library seems to have lost 4500 pictures. I do hope it is only teasing.

Did a big software update recently, iphoto os re-coding everything for the new version, says it'll be through in SEVEN hours.

This is Sophie, the best kitty in the whole world. (She likes it when I tell her that).
Ohhh, she's a pretty kitty. Nice bedroom LJ. Can I stay over sometime? :D

The lamp on my scanner won't come on, I even kicked it and it didn't help. So no pics but this morning, 6:00 a.m., it was still dark outside, my puppy Scooter went bonkers.

He is getting to be a big puppy, with a loud bark. He was telling me something and I was throwing pillows at him and telling him to shut up, he wouldn't. I was getting worried that he had rabies or distemper or just gone psycho-dog.

I finally got up and saw two police cars outside. I let Scooter out in the backyard and he went to the side part between my house and the nieghbors and kept barking. It wasn't his hungry or thirsty bark or want outside bark, it was "Fear, Fire, Foes!!" so I went out in the front to look at my car. It was o.k., no broken windows, the police was talking to a teenager I never seen.

I went to the side of the house and shined the flashlight down there to see why the dog was so nuts, the police was way out by the street, nothing,....... my poor lil dog had rabies and turned into a psycho, vicious dog.

As I turned around I saw by the nieghbors house a portable generator with all kinds of dials and stuff, which rolled on the back wheels, it looked new.

The police seen it in my flashlight beam. They starting handcuffing the teenager and a neighbor down the street came up and claimed the generator. I seen that from inside the house where I was feeding Scooter some Milk Bone cookies, he usually only gets one but he got two this morning.

Absolutely! There's plenty of room, but you have to like plants. They're kinda like pets too.

Stunning LJ, absolutely breathtaking. I can't decorate at all.

Elizabeth, I thought I'd better let you know. I heard a rumour that Lit has received a complaint regarding your thread title. It appears someone was disappointed with the very unsexual nature of the pics. He was told to "go away" because they don't want his type around here.

Actually I'm getting quite turn on by some of the pics. Strangely enough, LJ's lovely bedroom has got me going a bit too.

*giggle*

The only kind of action that bedroom is seeing these days is fantasy, so have at it Joe!

I can't decorate either - that's what the plants are for. They distract you from the utter lack of artwork and hide the earthquake cracks in the walls.

LadyJeanne, anytime you want to chatter about gardening, my PM box and IM programs are open to you. I moved into a new house last summer with a practically unlandscaped yard and would love input, advice, even envy. ;)

That's so exciting - I do envy you that wonderful project! Lanscaping is fun - large bushes and tall plants in the back and corners, flowering plants where they get direct sun, short plants in the front, tiny creeping plants along the borders. Add a focal point (a bench, an archway with viny plants growing along it, even a water feature, like a birdbath), and a walk made of those flat square stones and you're done.

Work with your soil and sun - don't try to grow stuff in sandy soil that needs lots of water; don't try to plant flowering plants in the shade. At least one or two of the bushes or plants near the house should be the fragrant kind, and you must find a place for a hydrangea bush - they bloom forever and you'll have huge blooms for vases all summer.

In San Francisco, all the yards I've had have been on hills, which adds an interesting opportunity to 'terrace' a garden. This is especially great if you have kids - one terrace can be a grassy play area away from plants that can get damaged, maybe a sandbox or swings if you have enough space. If you're in flat land, you'll need to order dirt by the truckload to do the terracing, but it's well worth it.

Let me know if you have questions! And enjoy...

This is Krum (Specialty Bulldog and Pit Bull Mix) ... 30 lbs ago

This is why Krum can be a pain in the butt sometimes.

This is how I maintain my sanity... being part Pit Bull, he can very... focused.

Being part bulldog... sometimes Krum doesn't particularly want to move, so he needs to be dragged somewhere until the carpetburn gets more annoying than whatever amusement he gets from making me drag his ass around.

Krum weighs fifty lbs and is (hopefully) halfway done with his growth; he's got two brothers in the 120lb range so I could be a hurting fool in six months to a year.

Being a growing boy though, he only needs to THINK something might be food, and he becomes very interested in doing what you want.

His favorite word is 'Cookie' and he has a fascination for doggie toothpaste.

Sincerely,
ElSol

He is adorable but I'm afraid you're right. You'll be a blathering fool in 6 months when he's twice as big. :D
