Memories

I remember you and me.
The days we spent together.
All the love the world could hold was for us.
My sun and moon rose and set for you alone.
How bright my world was with you.

I remember your kiss.
The gentle feel of your lips on mine.
Your tongue teased my lips.
A beautiful feeling of warmth flowed through me.
Could time ever erase you from my mind?

I can still feel your touch.
A fiery, but gentle caress that filled by heart.
Tracing your fingertips over my skin was maddening.
I would always reach out to hold you tightly.
To touch and be touched by you is heaven.

The feel of your body against mine.
A heat that my soul will crave forever.
I can smell the sweet scent of you.
Your taste fills my mouth with longing.
My eyes have never beheld a more beautiful sight.
Our bodies together in passion's embrace.
To live and die in your arms is my only dream

Tracing your fingertips over my skin was maddening.

I like that something erotic is maddening. Sex, love, buying groceries--it should all be maddening.

Where Angels Fear To Tread

I have been to the deepest pits where darkness goes to die.
Traversed a desert where water can not hide.
Fought battles already lost and won.
Killed silence in a graveyard.
So many things i've done and seen.
I know where Angels fear to tread.

Seen starving people eat their own flesh.
Heard a child that killed her parents.
I moved a blind man that didnot see death coming.
Helped a deaf man that couldn't hear his own screams.
Walked into demons feasting on a corpse.
I know where Angels fear to tread.

So many hardships I have found.
There is so much pain to be healed.
A thirsty man drinks poisoned water.
Dying mothers feed dying babies.
This life is for suffering and pain.
I know where Anglels fear to tread.

Death to the dying, but no life for the living.
Food for the hungry, but rotten and black.
There's poisoned water if you're thirsty.
Life here has no mercy, but death is a misery.
I know where Angels fear to tread, but they would be happy

where darkness goes to die is an interesting phrase that one could build an entire poem around--or at least, dedicate a stanza to it.

Hmmm... I don't quite grasp the last line: I know where Angels fear to tread, but they would be happy

Both outstandingn pieces. Passion and Love in the former and Pain and Despair in the latter. Oddly fitting omplimentary pieces...
