Please...

Once more, thank you all :rose:

Mum had an unsettled night, alot of that had to do with the nurses having to wake her to do her blood pressure, though but she's still doing okay. She has to have her chest x-ray repeated this morning, as the one they did looked fuzzy (they think mum moved, as she seems to have no problems chest wise)

My sister told me what happened this morning, the front tyre of the car blew out on he motorway, Robin grabbed mums arm and told her to hang on tight. they went over onto the roof, and mum remembers feeling Robin's pulse and then it just stopping. A lady then stood next to mum, kept talking to her till the ambulance arrived and then she had to be cut out of the car. It is nothing short of a miracle that all she's got is a gash on the head. Her guardian angel was working overtime yesterday.

All prayers for the family of Robin and for my mums family will be gratefully recieved, we all need all he help we can get. Mum's physically okay, but her mind, quite obviously, is in turmoil. It's going to be a hard time in our family for a while.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts, prayers and messages. You've been a great help to me :rose:

Oh goodness! That's awful. :(
As bad as that seems, it could have been worse... be grateful for the fact it wasnt.
Warm, positive thoughts on the way.. leave the door open. :)

Prayers for you, your mom, your mom's friend, and all touched by the lose.

Prayers and thoughts EL. It's a frustraing thing to have to sit and wait while someone you love is hurting, but I know you'll be strong for you and Mum.

Thanks all :rose:

Mum's still in hospital, the docs visited, nd had an X-ay done on her cheek 'cos it was really swollen, so he's ruling out a fracture. we'll hear more later.

Keep up them prayers! :D

thanks again!

Thank you Lou & Rob *hugs*

Just to keep folks up to date, Mum is now home. I went to visit with my sister, and the nurse told us she could go home. Mum has a little fracture to the top of her cheekbone, but it's nothing serious and she'll have to go back ina few weeks to have it re-set once the swelling has gone down.

Mun is battered and bruised and hurting physically and mentally. She needs to sleep but every time she sleeps she dreams of what happened in the accident.

So can we pray that she will get soem peaceful sleep tonight, and my sister needs that too. She's doing a great job looking after mum, but she's tired and needs a rest too.

I'll keep you all posted, and once again thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I can't thank you all enough. :rose:

My thoughts are with you and your family :rose: Give Mum a gentle hug from the surly one.

Just to keep folks up to date Mum slept well last night, no dreams, only a few wake ups -much better than any of us expected. She's sounding more like herself (as weird a statement as that is) and we're all doin well.

thanks for your prayers.

Imp -you're so right :D

Vella - thanks for the vibes love, they're appreciated. Just glad she was only banged up, love. So glad she's still with us. Makes you think, an accident like this and Good Lord, I am the luckiest woman in the world to have all the family I have :)

SC, you're a sweetheart, thank you for your kind words and offer :rose:

EL,

It's worth noting that your mother survived, and is now on the road to recovery, without any more than my usual good vibes to friends. After all the heartache over Colly, to read for the first time this morning about your mother's accident was almost surreal. It reminded me of the horrible time when we arrived home after my father's funeral, only to learn my wife's father had died. It was tough on my wife and me, of course, but image our kids having to deal with losing both grandfathers within a couple days.

But now, hearing that your mother is on the mend, it's like a ray a sunshine after a stormy night. Continued prayers, good vibes and best wishes to her, you, the rest of your family and to her companion in the car.

What a week!

Honey, you know how dear you are to me, and all my thoughts and prayers go to your mum and you both.

:rose:

Thanks for the hugs, Sal love -they are so much appreciated. Asare yours minx :)

Rumply, I'm so very glad she's doing so well, she is a ray of sunshine and speaking to her on the phone today and just hearing her sound like my mum for the first time in days was fantastic. Thanks for your prayers, love. they're still well needed.

Dr M -I know, love and thank you so much

So glad, EL, that your mother is getting her feet under her. I was touched that Robin's last actions were to try to protect her. What a good and decent man, and what a loss to his family and loved ones. All my love to you and yours.

Thank you, horsey :rose: He was a good and decent man, though a silly one as he was not wearing his seatbelt when the accident happened. He loved my mum and they did just about everything together. She will miss him, alot. She's coping, she's grieving and as her body is healing, she's being able to deal with the grief more, which, daft as it sounds, is a good thing. :) His family will miss him too and i am infintely sad for them.

EL, just wanted you to know you and your family are still in my thoughts. Sending you many positive vibes, dear... :rose:
