My first story here - please let me know what you think!

Hush Money in the BDSM category.

http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=352055

It's a short recounting of a sub's experience with her Master while shopping for lingerie.

NOTE: I would really like to thank my volunteer editor, Violent Intimacy, for the very considered and thoughtful edits. I tried to add this acknowledgment and thanks to my submission so that it would appear with the story but it didn't show up. What did I do wrong?

Where did you try to put it and how? If you'd put it at either the beginning of the story text or the end of it in some contrasting way--either in parenthesis or italics--it should have registered.

You probably acknowledged the editor in the moderator "notes" section of the submission form, because that field actually has a notation to include the name of your editor there. I think this is an artifact of the VE program that never really got off the ground.

In order to give your editor credit ( check with them first! Some actually don't want credit, because they don't have the time to take on the additional requests such an acknowledgment brings ) then you need to do so as part of the story text in an author's note or closing note within the text of the story itself.

As SR71 said, italics or parenthesis should be used to set these notes off ( and the notation Author's Notes: helps, too )

You can edit your original story to add the credit to the text. Just create a new submission with the same title as the original, and add something like *EDIT* to the end of the title.

Fill in any appropriate fields ( You can use placeholders ), and then paste the new text ( fixing any other mistakes you or readers might have caught after posting ) with the credit into the story text field.

In the moderator notes section, list the Lit ID# of your story ( the number that appears at the end of the URL when you open your story ) to make sure there's no doubt about what story you're editing. Then note that you only want to edit the story text, keeping the original title, description, keywords, votes, and comments.

Standard Lit posting times apply, although I have seen edits go through with lightning speed before ( an entire 6 chapter series worth of edits went up in one night after only 2 days for me once )

Go to the main Lit site, login, then Submissions>View. And then Moderate Comments to see them if you have any.

I loved it.

I love your style. I was right there, experiencing it. The story moved quickly but it didn't skip over anything needed.

I'm new to the site, and that's the first story in that category that I've read.

Now I'm going to read some more...

ChainedM, welcome to the crazy place and congrats on your story.

Just my thought, but if you don't use a bit of dialogue, we, the voyeur readers, feel a bit left out. First person is difficult to write - it needs a lot of inner expression to compensate for not being in everyone's head. One trick, especially in BDSM, is to have master talk, give instructions, praise, etc. Somehow you have to get us to see his character in 3D.

Still, a pretty damn good start.

sr is right - as usual. Details of votes and 'reads', really clicks, are in your sumissions page and comments are at the end of your story.

Looking forward to the next one.

I've never checked out the BDSM stories, yet I found this one erotic. So that says a lot.

It's well written, not too much of this, nor too little of that. Liked your pacing between anticipation and the crescendo.

Congratulations!
