Can anyone explain to me how to put a photo on a thread? I am using an iPad for both the photo and the posting. I've tried and can't get it to attach or to load. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
...and the file in question has to be hosted online somewhere.

No it doesn't; not to upload.
One common problem seems to be that pads and phones tend to take megapixel images while uploads to Lit's forums are limited to 800x600 pixels and 100Kb(?) filesize. You may have to downsize a copy of the image to meet Lit's restrictions.
I'll concede to someone who actually has an iPad, but I see a lot of similar complaints about "file not found" from various tablet and phone users that turn out to be "image too large" errors. You will still get the message that the file is too big, but if you are taking the pics on the iPad, then it will fit. The size is laughable compared to a nice phone.

Most likely if it's a tablet, it's a droid or kindle.
The iPad has such a small megapixel count. I wish it was better.
I could not, however, post a pic straight from my phone. My Nokia produces wonderful pics, not so wonderful when one wants to share.
