I was thinking that someone here may be able to help me with a problem I am having.

I am not sure if I'm on the right board here, but I do need some help.

Whenever I have sex lately, I bleed. I'm talking like a mini period, very fast and rather heavy. Sex doesn't hurt, and yes I am wet when we have sex. I enjoy sex and I do get into the act. The only time this happens is with penetration, and stops about one to two hours after we have finished. It doesn't bother my Boyfriend, but it does bother me. I have never had anything like this happen before and I am a little worried.

What I'm trying to find out is if this is normal at all, if it has happened to any of you? I am in my late Twenties, healthy and have one child.

Please if you can give me some advice.

I have to agree also ....see a Doc and make sure. I never heard of this.....

I too we recommend you get to the doctor immediately, No it is not normal Please see a doc soon.

I too bleed after sex but its never that heavy as she described it. I bleed lightly. My doctor said some people do bleed after anything is inserted into their vagina.. he said as long as it isnt too heavy i should be fine.

Get in to see a doctor immediately. This is not normal and it could be any number of things. Please do not drag your feet on this one. GO to the emergency dept or an urgent care but see someone.

Well I agree with everyone on this Go To The Doc. Run it could be something serious and you have to rule that out. It may be something minor but do you really want to take that chance.

It could be cervical cysts/polyps. Not to scare you, but these can lead to cancer. Bleeding during or after intercourse is one of the symptoms. GO TO THE DOCTOR NOW!!!! If this had happened to me, I would have literally flown to the ER right away!!

Ditto. A visit to the doc is long overdue for you. GO ASAP.

I have made an appointment to see the doctor in two weeks time.

I hopefully won't receive any bad news, and would like to say thanks to all that answered me.

There are some underlying problems dating back now six years and the Doctor has been worried that I may have endometriosis, but nothing has come up as of yet. I have never been one that has been completely "on Time" and was just wondering if this may have had something to do with the bleeding. I will raise all this with my doctor though.

Thanks again for helping me out.

Well, everyone beat me to it and gave you the same advice I would, so I won't belabor, especially since you've made an appointment :)

I do want to say, however, welcome to the Boards :D
