Please Explain!

Dude, there is no end to the fantasies of the unwashed readers of Lit. They run from "Snuff" to "Gangbangs" to "Fairy Tales" to "Cuckold Wives and Husbands" to "Wife Swapping" to... you name it.

Most writers write for themselves and their stories are a reflection of their own fantasies. Others writer for the crowd and their stories reflect a particular segment of readers in each catagory.

Yet there are others who just write stories. Some have sex, some do not. I believe you will find this group of writers are the ones who are published elsewhere.

There is no other explaination of the varied perversity of stories posted on Lit. Sorry.

Hey there GW, about all I can say is if you don't get it, there's not much use in my trying to explain it to you. I personally enjoy the cheating wife stories, but I definitely don't get the incest ones and I can't see any kind of an explanation changing that, no matter how compelling.

I realize that as fetishes go, this one must be way out there judging by the feedback it gets, but for some reason it does seem to push my buttons. Would I want this type of a lifestyle or relationship in real life? Not a chance, but I do enjoy fantasizing about it along with my partner. It's not as though it's the only way we can get off, but once in a while when we're both in the mood (usually drinking) it makes for some nice, dirty monogamous fun.

I'm not sure about the American/British breakdown (I guess as a Canadian I'm somewhere in the middle), but personally I'd be pretty surprised if the percentages weren't the same in both cultures. About the only advice I can give you is the same I would offer to anyone - if you don't understand or appreciate a certain type of story, move along to one that does appeal to you, but try to keep an open mind and don't judge anyone else too harshly. There's a good chance that they may feel the same way about the stories you like.

Okay GW66 first off I am a Brit. I have had 4 stories published and have asked for criticism from much better writers than me. 99% of what I received was justified but none of it had anything to do with the fact that I was British or a wimp. I've tried to write 4 totally different types of tale in 4 different styles to learn what I am good at and when I submit my next story it will be in a different catgory and a different style. The fact that you don't write does not effect your right to comment on what you read here on Lit.com. Jenny_Jackson rightly states the wide variety of topics here, whether or not they reflect the fantasies of the authors involved is debatable but I write in the hope that somebody will like what I have written and tell me so, sexual content or not. Some have and I enjoy hearing from them, only one handed out what I considered unjustified "stick" and I ignored it. B.T.W. I like to see the good guys and gals win too and boringly all of my stories have happy conclusions but that's just me. Stick with the site and keep reading, maybe try writing a story yourself but don't give up on us.
