85% of Icelanders believe in elves

Do you believe in fairies, trolls or elves? In recent polls, 85% of Icelanders said they believe in elves. They have, and I'm not kidding, consultant companies who will go out and look at rock formations to determine if their is an elf colony there. If so, the house or road that was planned for the spot will be relocated.
Strange but true.

We each follow our own rules for dealing with trolls. Ignore if you prefer. Others will respond. I do either, depending on the troll.

exactly no matter what you say coolville some people will reply some won't (im not saying who is right or not) ... but its not worth starting extra threads about them in my opinion :)

Do what you like. But the fact remains that some people believe in them.

Do what you like. Or perhaps follow Laurel's advice "please ignore the trolls". Nah, what does she know. It's only her fucking website and her fucking bandwidth.

You're right. You know better.

Check my track record, dear. I think you'll see I generally use good judgment. Even with trolls.

The mere fact that some people say "I will ignore them" or "I will reply to them" denotes that they believe in trolls! And fairies and elves for that matter.

I'm pleased you are proud of your track record, Cheyenne, Not many people know how to deal with fairies, elves and trolls. They have feelings to and it is important not to neglect them. Thanks for your understanding of this issue.

nah, you bore me enough already.

:)

Then I suggest you follow your own advice. Save Laurel's bandwidth and learn to ignore me.

I know, treacle, but I just think it's a shame that someone starts and maintains a free website and then they have to deal with increased bandwidth, not only from the trolls, but from people inside the community who don't follow the stated advice, "Please don't feed the trolls".

laurels advice has always been post whatever you want as long as you dont break the forum rules

those freespeech signs up at the top aren't there just for show :)

i think its best to ignore trolls as well mostly ... but there is no way you can make everyone on the whole of this huge boards ignore trolls ... so the best thing to do is just let people do what they want and keep it to as few threads as possible

Many people don't. But trolls, elves and fairies are wrongly categorized as fictional creatures by many people. When in fact a large number of people believe in them. As I wrote in the opening post, 85% of the citizens of Iceland believe in trolls.
I have a friend named Troldborg which, when translated, means Troll Castle. Pretty cool.

What a waste of bandwidth this thread was. :)

Even moreso since the thread starter has gone back to edit all his posts to be silly. I wonder if he can't see that his original posts have already been quoted in many cases? Why try to change a previous discussion?
