There is no shortage of creativity in Smut; however, we are all, at the very least, inspired by someone else's work and the incredible world-building they have created within their universes—characters, locations, and everything from products to unique easter eggs that keep us engaged page after page. Recently, someone pointed out that when I share ideas, it might be overwhelming for others to start writing a roleplay in a world they are not very familiar with. Even if you have read every book, seen every author interview, and explored the wiki, someone else may still be completely unaware of the intricacies involved.

I posted this thread to find out what worlds people enjoy playing in, and hopefully make some connections. What books, films, or video games do you enjoy and think deserve an erotic roleplay? I've noticed that often in film and TV, creators can't explore every relationship, or those above them interfere. How long have we watched a will they won't they romance drag on way too long, or a relationship not explored beyond holding hands on screen?

So please share your favorite settings you'd like to explore in a roleplay. Are you sticking with original characters and not altering the story, or are you exploring a familiar space with new characters and stories? You may like the story and want to go a different route. In my tabletop playing days, where I enjoyed Dungeons & Dragons and many others, I'd often say characters do have sex lives. Still, we don't explore that because not everyone at the table is comfortable with such matters in public (in private or online might be completely different). Also, that isn't the focus of the play at that time.

So, where would you like to roleplay?
