Hope all is well LILY.

It was 357 for me today RED and I have 358 nearly done. I am just taking a small break for a few hours and reading / filing my newest magazines. Such a fuss she made and they only sent me 6 magazines.

*rolls eyes*

There had better be more shortly because I've seen stuff on the newstands with my writing in them and haven't got those yet.

I'm doing ok I suppose. Gained back most of what I lost :(

I'm sorry. I know that is tough. :rose: I have about 50 back, but am working hard again to rid myself of it and a few more. Next year I want to have some surgeries done to remove the excess skin and tissue that is really not all the attractive in my eyes.

My story count of 402 still amazes me and boggles my mind when I think of all that writing and then to go deeper and realize it doesn't include stories/srps written here at lit on the threads.

Mine is 358 if you include my own humorous attempt at poetry.

It's a nice number RED and it testifies to your commitment to the work and your passion for it. Brava!

Yeah same here....no insurance covers something like that and mine isn't medically necessary

In Canada if you have lost a great deal of weight on a medical recommendation, surgery like that is covered. Even if you lost the weight by choice, if your doctor recommends that kind of sugery, it is covered. I know some who have done it.

Best of luck to you both.

Good for you Brett and it says the same about you too.

Ditto for that too - if it is considered reconstructive it is covered, but mine would be all cosmetic, so that's my fee. We have a flexible cafeteria plan with my spouse's employer and I do believe we'll put a large chunk of change on that card next year to cover a couple surgeries as well as hearing aids for him. Then the cost is still mine to cover, but it is done in weekly payments deducted from his paycheck that go toward the flex card.

It would be nice if we had some of Canada's laws, but we do not. Thanks bunches Brett.

Thanks RED I do believe in being committed to my work (rather than being committed which has been suggested at times)

Good Morning :) thought I stop in to see whats going on here;)it looks abandoned -nobody posting here anymore ??
Anyway HI :)

Hey LING.

Not a lot of posts here lately although I'm sure if someone posted daily, it might start it going back up. Too often the only thing in this room are the dust bunnies.

Aw, that is a Bummer:( ~ maybe you won part of the 50 Million Jackpot by now & can afford to buy A/C ;):D

Sorry for the slow response LING - I've been very ill the past few weeks, it seems to come and go. I'm fine for a few days and then BAM! it hits me again and I'm in bed 18 or more hours a day. Being up more than a few hours in a row is rare on those days.

Nope, didn't win any money last time.

BrettJ in Canada - weak but hoping to survive

Uh, thats already a Month ago hope U went to see a Dr since then & feeling better now:)~anyway hope your feeling better ~ stay "cool":)

Hi LING - yes, I did finally go to a doctor - and he was wrong! I figured out myself what was wrong - bad reaction to a generic drug. They switched mine temporarily and the "new" one made me sick as hell. As I explained it to someone to make her understand "I drink colas. I can drink Pepsi. I can't drink Coke." Once I was switched back to Pepsi, all was well again.

As I've ever only posted once on the General Board (and have to admit, I didn't inhale), I'm definitely a Playgrounder. It's the fun place to be.

I used to love the rough and tumble of the GB, but it's always the same people spouting the same bullshit, unable to see past their own ideologies or admitt that someone may have a valid point.

It got old, really fast.

The PG is so much more my kinda place. Just good folks having fun with each other.

I love it!
