I'm not either.. all the wrap and cards are out in the patio storage with the rest of the Christmas things and I can't stand long enough to root around and get them out. Girlfriend from work may be coming by tomorrow to help me get things out and finished.. :)

I sure hope she's able to and if so you both have a good time working on stuff together. :rose:

I'm having to wait till the last minute for everything except the tree being put up and the baking of the cookies, I had that stuff handy. But gifts/wrapping paper/other things - not until the 23rd, simply because funds dictate it this year.

I understand that. I was lucky to have the fudge made before the doctor demanded I stay off my knee.. and with daughters birthday's bracketing Christmas I learned a long time ago to shop year round. I only have two presents left to buy and know what I want to get. It's just a matter of getting into the store to purchase them. And then the wrapping and the shipping.. :eek:

Normally I start shopping before Thanksgiving, usually right after Halloween; this year I wasn't able to. The spouse was able to switch employers so hopefully 2012 will be a little easier for us. I was able to get us signed up for life insurance for myself and the kids, something I've not had since I got married, and started having babies. The spouse's new job offers a very very reasonable plan for us.

Well that is good then. I am also hoping that 2012 treats me well. :)
I got so overloaded with medical bills this year. Grrr.

We were slammed with medical bills, unpaid taxes from Fed. and State, as well as two teenage drivers on our insurance, an increase in our rent, increase in cost of electricity - It was a never ending list, but I think with the new job we can get back in control of things, we won't recover quickly, but in time we will recover.

Yesterday I posted in GB for the first time. It did not go well. Some of the kids over there don't play well with others. It would be really nice to make some friends here at the Playground. :nana:

The GB takes itself far too seriously; God forbid you have a dissenting opinion because you surely must be an idiot...

I like The Playground...remember, the kids who make fun of you on the other side of the pavement are just jealous that they're not half as cool as you are....got me through school, anyway! :D:D

Hello there. :)

I like it here as well. I post sporadically in several other forums, including the GB (in that one I hold my breath when I post). The Playground is more welcoming, but can also bring a lot of drama along with it. I think eventually we all find our happy place. :D

Shower and doctor's visit went well yesterday.. I should be almost all better by the weekend and he said I can resume swimming laps on sunday! Yay! I have missed them. Both exercise and mental health found working my way back and forth in the pool.

I honestly wish I had the luxury of taking 1 month away from writing. I'm a bit tired and need a holiday, but deadlines loom (next month's too) so luxury I don't have and time is NOT on my side.
