Do you think your trying to hard?

At first I did, then I just stopped trying all together. Sometimes I get idea's, but they never make it to my hand.

Have you considered a co-writer?

Well at one point I had been working on a Fanfic with an old friend of mine, she actually put her and I in the story, but she really did all the writing. I just kinda proofread it. Though in her story, I started off with red hair, then had redish blonde, then finally blonde. LOL I've had blonde/white hair all my life.

Brett here

Writing isn't always easy. Sometimes, collaboration is harder than going it alone.

But keep it up.

I think it all depends on who you collaborate with....I just wrote a story with someone and it was one of the easier ones I've ever done. However....we have LOTS of chemistry.

Full of mixed emotions. I seem to be really terrible at just popping in the leaving for long periods of time. Oh well. Life and all I guess.

Not to me. I don't have the skills, and my imagination is somewhat lacking.

Dracoa trust me.. If you get the right inspiration you can write. My inability to write was well know on here. Ive gotten better with practice. Just give it a shot and listen to the response and take it from there. Its worth it trust me

Thoughts on writing

Hello WYLD. On writing ....

One of my more recent stories was a collaboration of sorts. I re-wrote, rather extensively, a story a friend had sent me. I had to be careful to preserve her intent. She liked it a lot though.

It often is hard because two writers can read a character differently. I have not collaborated much in recent years though. Never with a female.

Oddly enough though, I have a lot of female friends here, but no one shares "Chemistry" with me. Yet.

More thoughts on writing

I have been writing for over 36 years. A few tips perhaps?

Write an outline.

Name your characters. Give them a bit of background. Make them real to you and they will be to the readers.

Write the beginning and the end first. The middle is how you get there.

Practice.

Use spell check if available.

Write a plot first and offer it to another writer if you aren't sure. Let them expand it and make suggestions. Try one on your own when you are ready.

Most
people have a story there if they want it.
