For those of you who don't live in Sports Towns - and my hometown, Toronto, is a MAJOR sports town - you have no idea how much revenue is lost when this kind of thing happens. About time some of these jerks grew up. And I do mean BOTH sides.

Um EXCUSE ME.... did you say the END of the hockey strike? GAWD I hope so... I'm a HUGE hockey fan, tho nascar is my #1 sport :p

Hockey News

According to CTV News, they've reached an agreement. Having been in a Union myself, I know nothing is final until the papers are signed, but the CTV News would not air a story on a "maybe".

I will let everyone know what they say after the 11 PM news.

Hockey update, eh

The Hockey Season will begin in the beginning of October.

There will be a 24% Salary Reduction across the board.

There will be a spending cap per team of 39 Million Dollars. The higher-grossing teams will contribute to a pool to help out the lower-grossing ones.

There will be a change to the draft this year, it will be decided by Lottery.

There are some other changes, but these are the major ones.

It will take a week or so to ratify the agreement, but some players are already preparing to go back.

Hope this news is enough to satisfy you.
