Plausible fantasy

Meanful observation

Thank you for sharing a meaningful observation. In particular you said: " Many stories break the mood with obviously contrived and implausible situations."

If there is a single weakness that dominates the majority of stories it is this very thing. It betrays a lack of understanding of what it means to be human. The motivations and reactions of people need to be understood in order to write a plausible story.

The same problem is what makes fake news so repulsive. Many news "stories" are obviously contrived and twist reality. Looking forward to reading some of your work.

excellent question. the others seemed to focus on being outraged by bold text.
I did enjoy many of your Incest/Taboo stories . There were 34 people in the apartment house that I grew up in , not to mention the neighborhood scandals in a small town . It was fertile ground for my dirty mind .

You hit that nail on the head . I experienced such scenarios in the responses to my social commentary writing . People would go to great , twisted extremes in trying to bait me into an angry response . Eventually , I diffused that negative energy . I started telling people rhat I was searching for people who would tell me that I'm wrong . It kinda worked . There are still people too crazy to cope with . I suspect that they were paid to be trolls . I just wrote them off as cheap entertainment . With that background , I have a few story ideas , loosely based on real events . One is a BBW Interracial story that could very easily have been reality .

OK?

Yes, verisimilitude is uncommon in porn, or fantasy in general, for that matter. IMO, that's part of the point - it's an escape from reality for many, a way of stretching the mind, of exploring the unlikely or even impossible.

Doesn't mean it doesn't happen, and for some writers it's their goal. To each their own. I'm more interested in making a fun tale, one that brings the reader along on a fun romp.

As for writing a good tale, by whatever definition of 'good' you prefer? Go for it! I'd love to see even more authors writing. Sure, very few Kings or Asimovs or Heinleins (pick your own favorites if those don't work for you) out there - makes it all the more special when you do find one.

I had to think on your post for a while . I had to examine why I am captivated by one book and indifferent to another . I conclude that rhe definition of 'good' is in the mind of the reader . I know that it is especially true in erotic literature . There are some things that touch me . I've read a lot of acenes that wouldn't leave me alone until I took a break and did something about it . Relating that urge in writing is my goal . I really want someone else to feel as good as I did . When I cum so good that I can't move , that is the definition of good , for me . There are many authors on Literotica that draw me into rhe world they describe .

As you pointed out , the great writers can do that . Everyone knows the names of Heinlein , Asimov , Bradbury , Clarke , etc . I add Anne McCaffrey and Terry Brooks to that list . They wrote great and vivid sweeping landscapes .Weaving cultural backstories into present urgency is the mark of their skill and mastery .

I find, and I RP more than write single stories, playing out real situations with guys (and girls) about people they know and fantasize about but for one reason or another can never actually be with is a great starting point. A shared idea that then becomes your own and takes on a life of it's own I find to be very hot. I mean that's me, everybody is different, but if you want to work something out, and it has a hint or more than a hint of realism with someone you know or see often can really get interesting.
