PLANET PLASTIC

Every human on Earth is ingesting nearly 2,000 particles of plastic a week. These tiny pieces enter our unwitting bodies from tap water, food, and even the air, according to an alarming academic study sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature, dosing us with five grams of plastics, many cut with chemicals linked to cancers, hormone disruption, and developmental delays. Since the paper’s publication last year, Sen. Tom Udall, a plain-spoken New Mexico Democrat with a fondness for white cowboy hats and turquoise bolo ties, has been trumpeting the risk: “We are consuming a credit card’s worth of plastic each week,” Udall says. At events with constituents, he will brandish a Visa from his wallet and declare, “You’re eating this, folks!”

Humans have always thought they were smarter than nature, then nature gets back at them. If nature did not make it then nature will not accept it no matter how many chemicals are added.

As with a lot of thins being "ok" with it does not matter, it happens no matter what. You accept it or change it, the real question is can you change it for the good.

Every body wants more money and pay less for things (GREED) and so all look for cheep ways but when you go cheep something is left out which usually means that something is going to be left behind so where does that go?

So you have rationalized treating the Earth as a garbage dump. Convenient.

How much does science say are we pooping out.

Doing nothing yields nothing. Every change starts by taking the first steps. Or...we can be like you...
Maybe the world would be better if more were like sissy.
Yes, there must be a start but it also must appeal to people like they are getting something of value out of it or the start will be the finish.

Don't buy plastic bags in markets. Take one from home. Everybody can do this simple step to save our planet.

Plastics are, of course, entirely derived from organic compounds.

Most stores here still bag everything routinely. Sometimes I remember to say I don't want a bag, such as when I buy one packaged item.
The cashiers are trained to bag for speed. Stopping to ask my bag preference makes a longer wait for other customers.
