On which should a restriction be placed? Which should be limited as to when and where they go? Small private planes or U-haul trucks?
Should the private aviation sector have limits as to where and when they go, other than the restrictions already in place?
Mayor Daley of Chicago has already closed and torn up the runway at the former Meigs Field on the lake front of Chicago. Last week a small plane piloted by a sports figure crashed into an apartment building in New York and there were cries for restriction on flights along the East River.
Yet daily, U-haul trucks enter our cities without restriction. Should be be afraid of those little planes buzzing around above our heads or that big U-haul truck parked outside the local public school?
A small private plane has very little capacity. It can not carry much in the way of harmful cargo. While a U-haul truck can carry more than a couple of tons of harmful cargo.
So which will it be? Truck? Or plane?
